My husband and I took a cooking class at Eddys place the first night we stayed at sama sama bungalows. It felt like spending time with friends. Eddys family is so welcoming and friendly and the food was amazing! We are excited to cook Gadu-Gadu, Ayam Sate and Nasi Goreng back home in Germany! Just loving that peanut sauce ❤

Also we loved to hear that eddy, his family and friends from Sama Sama are supporting for less plastic waste in Tetebatu with weekly clean ups and special education classes for Kids in the town. Aqila Warung is a great and good place to eat. The owner Sar Aidi (Eddy) is not only a friendly host, he is also a great tour guide. I did a one day trip with him, behind on his motorbike. He drived me to places near Mt. Rinjani. We stopped on strawberry fields (and eat some of theme : ) and walked up a hill opposite Mt. Rinjani with great view. Back way, he drived me alongside the coast. Also there so many great spots to see. This trip was wonderful, and Sar Aidi is such a nice and friendly guide, he know many great places to see. We had an excellent time with Eddy and his family, we stopped in for some coffee (so good!) and then decided to do a cooking class the next day. Eddy took us around the market and helped us find so many delicious treasures. Then we went back to his home and helped with roasting and preparing coffee and were able to cook whatever we wanted off the menu (we choose gado gado and chicken curry) which was an unforgettable experience.
