ILA Homestay — Restaurant in West Nusa Tenggara

An incredible home stay. Yes the rooms are incredible, spacious, clean, peaceful, and comfy but that pales compared to the incredible hospitality and kindness from the host family. For the three nights we stayed there we were constantly greeted with smiles and had some really lovely conversations with the family in the evenings. They really went above and beyond to make everything about the stay perfect, from advising us on places to see in the area, taking extra care and concern for one of us when we fell ill, and serving insanely delicious food in their restaurant. The location is perfectly away from the main strip of Senaru town (which is only a 10 minute walk away), providing peace from the day tours that stop off in the village and giving you more genuine insight into the local community. Cannot fault it. We did the 3d2n trek of Rinjani with the homestay and i highly recommend. The attention to detail for our comfort and the food provided was exceptional. A special shout out to our guide Fann for his witty jokes, exceptional knowledge on the volcano and the area, and for his constant positivity throughout. I stayed there in total 3 nights with my boyfriend.||First : the room looks really good. The bed is just amazing and we got plenty of rest! It’s always very very clean and tidy. ||Second: the food is not the cheapest but it is very good and the plates are huge. ||Third: the owners are AMAZING. This is the first time here that my host found the perfect balance in hospitality. The are super honest about prices and they have interest about who you are. For once I didn’t feel like a « wallet ». Super kind and helpful, he helps us to book everything for Rinjani and respect our opinions about everything we want. She prepare pic-nic for us when we needed it.|When we came back from our big hike, they offer a juice to us and he said « welcome back ».
