Breathtaking Sunset Views, Good Service, but Mixed Experience with Food
⭐⭐⭐
I recently visited the Kliff restaurant and was captivated by the stunning sunset views. The ambiance and setting were truly mesmerizing, providing a perfect backdrop for a memorable dining experience.
The service at Kliff was commendable, with attentive and friendly staff who went above and beyond to ensure our comfort. From the moment we stepped in, we felt welcomed and taken care of.
Now, let's talk about the food. While the presentation was undeniably impressive, I must admit that the taste and texture fell short of my expectations. Though the dishes were visually appealing, the flavors didn't quite hit the mark. Some lacked the depth and complexity I anticipated, leaving me longing for more vibrant and well-balanced flavors. Additionally, the textures of certain dishes didn't match the overall dining experience I was hoping for.
Despite this minor setback, Kliff restaurant is still worth a visit, especially if you're seeking a picturesque setting and attentive service. I believe there is potential for their culinary offerings to improve and reach greater heights. With a little more attention to flavor profiles and texture, this place could easily become a culinary gem.
Overall, Kliff restaurant offers a delightful ambiance and excellent service, making it an ideal spot to enjoy breathtaking sunset views. While the food may not have completely won me over, I appreciate their efforts and look forward to seeing how they evolve in the future.
Remember, the joy of dining is a subjective experience, so I encourage you to visit Kliff and form your own opinion. Enjoy the beautiful views and embrace the warm...
Read moreWe came here twice in a row – price-wise, it’s noticeably higher than in other restaurants, but it’s worth it. We had the mini burgers here, as well as the Kliff Pizza with black dough – nicely crispy, although personally I found the seasoning a bit too mild. The salmon with pesto and potato gratin was good, but the standout was definitely the potato gratin – it was excellent. The glazed duck was also very tasty, still tender and pink inside, and the risotto served with it was very good.
Our favorite dishes, however, were the angel hair noodles with scallops and the fillet steak with mushroom sauce and baked potatoes. The fillet was buttery-tender and cooked exactly medium as requested – and the white wine sauce on the angel hair noodles was an absolute dream. The two scallops, although quite small, were perfectly cooked and delicious.
For dessert, we had the avocado panna cotta (not too sweet) and the tiramisu, which was very delicate. The cocktails were excellent – the Singapore Sling and Mango Sour were fruity, the Kliff Fantasy was rum-forward but also very tasty, as was the Electric Ice Tea.
The atmosphere with a view of the sea is especially beautiful in the evening during sunset (around 5:30–6:00 p.m.). It makes sense to make a reservation and get a spot on the sofas.
We did notice that the chairs and sofas are a bit too low for the tables, but only slightly – it doesn’t really interfere with dining. The staff are very friendly and attentive – they even drive you part of the way from the resort entrance to the stairs in...
Read moreAfter a disappointing experience at our hotel’s restaurant (Kalandara Hotel), The Kliff Bistro was a very welcome surprise. From the moment we arrived, the setting exuded elegance and class. The menu immediately appealed to us, and it only got better from there.
We started with the King Prawn Margarita and the Kliff Yakitori (scallops & prawns) – both beautifully presented and full of flavor, far superior to what we had the night before, and for a lower price. Admittedly, this place is part of a luxury hotel (Katamaran Hotel), so it’s not the cheapest option around, but you absolutely get what you pay for: quality.
The staff are also in a different league – fluent in English, professional, approachable, and always smiling. For our mains, we had the seafood ravioli and linguini marinara, both well-seasoned and clearly made with fresh ingredients.
The cocktails were balanced and refined, and the wine by the glass (we chose a Chardonnay) was among the best we’ve had during our trip. Desserts were on the generous side, but we’d rather have too much than leave hungry.
Even the entrance to the restaurant sets the tone: an experience in itself. The Kliff really impressed us, and we’ll definitely be...
