Just visited yesterday, 8 Oct 2023.
It's Monday, so I expected the full-seat and it was. Fortunately, my friend and I got the only left indoor table that's actually not very comfy because the table's quite small with 4 stools with no backrest. The other comfy tables were occupied and they stayed quite long. Maybe weekend visitors can be more considerate. This is a note for me too.
Anyway, they have outdoor space too, but since Jogja's been super hot lately, I couldn't recommend that.
All their deco are beautiful. Minimalist but aesthetic with the cactus area in some spots. They also put themed deco in here and there; currently it's Halloween.
Their food are great! The cakes are beautiful and we ordered Baileys and Praline sliced cake. It contains alcohol and tastes sooo good!
We ordered quite a lot for 2 people. Two kinds of their recommended pastas and both taste yum! You can check their recommendation menu--the ones with little sign above the menu name.
Then, we picked potato wedges for the snack. The texture's OK and the sauce could be tastier/bolder.
The drinks we opted were coffees with hint of banana taste for my friend and the recommended iced coffee for me. Both are good because they're not too sweet--typical standard taste for Asia's dessert and beverage hahaha. Make sure to stir the drink well so that you won't leave the syrup at the bottom.
The place is comfortable after all. The AC is cold enough to beat the heat outside.
Also, the price are reasonable for the food quality and place ambience. We spent 300K-ish for 2 main dishes, 1 side dish, 1 snack, 1 cake, 2 coffees, 1 mineral water (glass bottle!). Fine, right?
I didn't go to the toilet, but I bet they have clean and comfy ones. About the parking area, it's pretty limited in front of the building, but you can park along the street near the cafe. No worries.
Will come back for other meet up schedules and recommend it...
Read morecame here because of their cakes looks appetizing and beautiful on Instagram and need morning coffee too. We came around 9 am, everything was just perfect until we ordered and got our cake and coffee. The waitress with glasses looks so upset with salty look served our order not in front of us but on the other side of the table. We have no idea why she looks so upset, I mean like it’s just early in the morning and there’s no another guest but us. We didn’t even bother the waitress or talk loudly or busy taking pics of the interior - we just stopped by for coffee. Next time kindly train her and other waiters to at least smile while welcoming customers or serving orders. I saw some lowest reviews mostly complaining about waiter’s attitude- We came here to enjoy cakes and coffee so don’t ruin our mood. Most of the waiters weren’t look friendly and welcome at all, just cashier who were smile to us. But we love the decoration and also the taste of cake 🙏🏻 Hopefully Chéri will improve their service not only...
Read morethe foods i tried: biryani: rice was good but the curry was a watery disappointment. took a long time to cook too miso mushroom pasta: it's just a mushroom cream pasta. not a single hint of miso. very generous with the mushroom tho stuffed mushroom: really nice, love the sauce that comes with it parmesan chips: good but couldve been cheaper for what u get potato wedges: nothing extraordinary. couldnt even tell if it's once or triple cooked to be honest onion rings: love the batter it comes with
restaurant is located upstairs so not wheelchair friendly. most of the visitors are there to purchase little drinks and cakes so it seems like they get a tad overwhelmed when a customer orders an actual food. drink takes a loooong time to come on top of the long wait for the food so we're left on our table parched and hungry. i expect a better service given...
