Lombok Idjo has always been my go-to place for a satisfying meal, and the Diponegoro branch in Yogyakarta continues to uphold the excellent standards I’ve come to expect from this chain. Whether I’m dining in Jogja, Purwokerto, or Surabaya, the taste remains consistently delicious—a rarity that makes this restaurant a personal favorite.

What sets the Diponegoro branch apart is not only its central location—right in the heart of Jogja—but also its spacious parking area, which makes visiting hassle-free even during peak hours. The service is another strong point. The staff are consistently friendly and helpful, whether I’m ordering in person, taking food to go, or placing an online order.

One standout experience was when I ordered lunch boxes for an event (an olympiad at Sahid Rich Hotel in 2022). They provided free delivery and ensured everything was handled smoothly and professionally. It left a lasting impression and added to the reasons I keep coming back.

Was here for dinner with a big group of 80 people with reservation. Plenty parking space, even with 2 big busses. Beautiful vintage interior, comfortable wood high chairs and tables, airy with large open windows and brightly lit by old style curly chandeliers. Dishes recently served before each seat when we arrived, which is excellent! Fried chicken with kremes, tahu and tempe, fresh slices of cucumber and boiled cassava leaves. My compliments on the simple yet tasty plain tahu and tempe! Most restaurant would ignore these simple fare, but not you. The chicken was also highly praised, simple yet very good. The price was very decent, around 20K, free flow of sambal and rice. The green chili sambal (= 'lombok idjo' in javanese, so it might be their specialty) was killer, very spicy but made you want more and more. Actually I want to rate in 5 star, but I saw a huge rat that day I visit, haha.

We choose this restaurant just because they have so many kind of Chilli, and not far from our hotel, you also can settle your meal here, then walk to the Malioboro Street.

We ordered combo set with soup and drink, also a la carte, chicken or fish come with combo too small, only a la carte a bit biggest.

Raining day, outside parking 3 coach, I park my car at behind parking, also siting at behind dining area, I saw the rat on that time, big like adult cat.
