I visited Al-Nafoura 2 Restaurant in the Ainkawa with a friend. We ordered 4 meat shawarma sandwiches and 1 yogurt for a total of 13,000 IQD.

The shawarma was really delicious — definitely one of the better spots in Erbil. The location is also excellent, right on the main street, which makes it very convenient.

The service was good overall, but there’s room for improvement. I ordered yogurt at the start, but it arrived only after I almost finished my first sandwich, despite reminding three different waiters.

As for the prices, they’re fair but could be better. At 3,000 IQD per sandwich, it’s reasonable, but slightly high compared to other places.

If you are into bey hygienic places then this is not for you. However, the food is amazing and it is clean. The place itself not so much but not to the point where it would bother me. The tashrib is amazing but get the half portion because the full one is too big. Their shawarma is amazing too. Make sure you top it off with the tea they have. This is where you can get a traditional Mosul style tashrib. If you finish the food, you’ll walk out like a penguin from how full you will really be.
