Basilico — Restaurant in Erbil Central Subdistrict

I recently took my wife (not to mention that she's Italian) to Basilico for a nice dinner.

I could summarize our experience at Basilico with the following: The atmosphere was soothing, Service was top notch, staff were highly-qualified, the Italian wine was tasty and served at the correct temperature, and most importantly... The food was absolutely delicious. We are not sure if the Italian Chef, who actually cooked our dinner or the recipe was authentic, either way... My wife said, "This reminds me of Nona's food." Which is the highest compliment a chef could get.

We enjoyed our time at Basilico and we are definitely going back for more. I sincerely recommend...

A very nice place. But a carbonara is never the same with beef bacon. Since they serve wine, why don't they make pork available to those who want it? Also the security check at the entrance can discourage impatient customers if they are not very hungry. For the quality the price...
