McDonald's — Restaurant in Cork

My 4 year old Daughter and I returned to McDonalds today at 18:00 today 27 June 2020, I was impressed with the measures implemented in the ongoing battle with Covid 19, Social Distancing been adhered too ,the restaurant fitted with safety glass and easy to follow signage. The Staff were diligent, polite and very helpful. There is a however and it is there are technical faults with the automated ordering tablets. I couldn't order and a Staff Member stepped in to assist whom advised they were having issues all day with the matching. The Staff Member made the order on my behave and when complete I paid by card the recipe required to provide at the collection did not dispense from the machine. No matter I had taken note of my order number and proceeded to wait at the designated collection point. I collected my order and drove home to Glanmire. Upon opening the order I noted there were no fries with the Happy Meal I had ordered, my Daughter was less than impressed but the Toy soon grabbed her attention and she got over it. I believe the error was not made by the staff and was a fault within the Machine I must praise the Staff and wish to make a comment in the hope the tools they need are provided in good working order. Given I live 15 minutes away from the restaurant I wasn't going to drive back for "Fries" in any event it's less junk food for my 4 year old or should I say myself because we as parents all know who really finishes the kids meals. Anyway rant over very impressed, limited menu but given the current crisis I understand and my Daughter got her Happy Meal and more importantly Toy so she is elated. Next time I down I must warn you my Daughter doesn't forget and I'm sure she will say "you forgot my fries the last time I was here" she's very cheaky and...

It's Micky D - you know the drill. The food always tastes exactly the same. The staff that remain after introducing self service kiosks are making minimum wage to supplement their college fund.

The decor is bright and plastic and easy to wipe clean. It's a formula that has seen Subway grow past McDonald's and then collapse, and I suspect that alongside cockroaches, there will be a few McDonald's restaurants in the post apocalyptic world.

The app deals make it affordable, and a big Mac with fries is one of the few WHO certified hangover cures. You will never exclaim in a McDonald's "This is the best thing I have ever eaten", but you can also rest assured that your meal will not exit your body through either of the main orifices after an hour or two. That's not a claim that can be made about every Cork...

This place is the pits, get the order wrong most of the time, machines always out of order, stale buns for burgers, food nearly always cold, could go on and on. In my last dozen or so visits to the drive through they got the order wrong at least eight times, I usually throw it in the bin and get over it but on Sunday I went back and complained, manager had little or no interest and was made to feel that the error was my fault and again this evening they got the order wrong, asked for three burgers with onions only, got only one, the one I checked of course, other two covered in everything except onions, really had enough of this place and will not be going back. giving one star...
