Another enjoyable dinner with family last night after my previous excellent one 8 months ago. Once again we were welcomed by the friendly team and lead directly to our table. We ordered the Pan fried scallops and tempura prawn starter along with the spiced chicken wings to share. We enjoyed these very much and they were beautifully presented. For the main course 2 of us ordered the Seared Atlantic Cod Fillets and the other the Jack the Lad Pale Ale Battered Haddock. Both again beautifully presented, unfortunately the 2 thin portions of cod had not been sufficiently seared for our liking and so we couldn’t eat the skin as it resembled steamed cod. I should have probably asked before ordering. The Jack the Lad Pale Ale Battered Haddock had a soggy batter and whilst the server tried to convince us that its supposed to be soft, I always expect a battered fish to be crispy. The Warm Lemon Cake for dessert was delicious as were the Ice Creams. All kitchens can have a bad moment during a service and I suppose we experienced it last night during the main course. We will back though as we always enjoy ourselves there when we are in Carrick.

Previous review: We had a wonderful evening with great food and wine and wonderfully efficient and friendly service from Laoise. The dishes are beautifully prepared and taste as good as they look. We will be back again on our next visit to...

We arrived at the restaurant before our time and was seated with no problem, we were taken into the bar area which is a lovely setting and quieter than the main room, which was very much appreciated. I had the carrot fritters to start and my wife had scallops with king prawns and black pudding, they were amazing. For mains I had the duck and my wife had the specials venison and both were divine, cooked to perfection, just how we like it. And of course we had to finish off with a crumble and lemon pudding, again outstanding and now we're fit to burst. We of course had 2 cocktails each and they were like having a holiday in a glass. The service was outstanding given to us by Nicola and Nellie, thank you so much for making our evening extra special, it truly was an amazing night, I'm sorry my pictures just doesn't...

Had lunch there today. On the plus side: Very nice atmosphere. Nice light feel to it, gentle unobtrusive music, excellent friendly and attentive service. Starter and dessert absolutely delicious. 5 Stars for each. On the downside: Braised beef was ok. Just average but acceptable. Chicken supreme was awful. Dry and rubbery. Difficult to cut with the knife and hard to chew. It became so hard to swallow that I asked for more gravy to help wash it down. Unfortunately it was still too difficult so I left the rest. The chips were also dry and tasteless so I drowned them in gravy too. We won't be back. It's a shame. We were looking for a nice place to make our regular and we had hoped this would be it. Nice room, great service, lovely starters and desserts, but main meal...

What an experience.... 3 lovely ladies were looking forward to a great Saturday night and we were not disappointed. Our server was such a lovely young lady who was so attentive (I wish I remembered her name) and really looked after us. We were surprised by an amuse bouche of goat's cheese to begin which set the tone for the flavor of our meal... Delicious. I must give particular mention to the quality of cocktails served! They were the tastiest I have had in ages. The only negative (that I truly hope they rectify) is the bathroom facilities. Firstly having the front door wide open means that when you leave the toasty restaurant you are hit with a chilly breeze when climbing the stairs to the bathroom. I cannot wait to return!

I went to the Red Bank for my birthday with my wife and daughter, we had their steak, a cocktail and barbecue chicken wings as a starter. As far as fine dining I think this is one of the closest you will find in Carrick-On-Shannon and Leitrim as a county, the service was top notch and they had a child chair for my daughter who is a toddler. The steak was great and the plating and presentation was very good, only downside was some part of my steak was a bit chewy. Their cocktails are to die for, myself and the Mrs had two different cocktails and we were impressed, the chicken wings came with a barbecue sauce and some infusion dressing, it was a winner for me. Overall 4/5 Stars. Great experience and value for money.
