Blue Thunder — Restaurant in County Mayo

So. Rang this outfit before 6pm on a weekend evening to place an order for a large family. Rang out. Tried again and my call was answered with an abrupt “hello”. I asked was this Blue Thunder and could I place an order. The gentleman said no (!) and that I’d have to ring back later. No explanation or apology.

It will be a while before I give my custom there. The business model of chasing away a paying potential customer needs to be reviewed !!

We ordered fish and chips a few times, each time passing through Castlebar and it was always great -to excellent. So 5 stars for that. The customer service is also great, with the staff making good eye contact and being mannerly. The donner kebab I ordered this week was dreadful, just a big clump of mayonnaise mixed with plain iceberg lettuce, and a few sorry rinds of grey meat. Virtually tasteless, and small, definitely not good value. Perhaps a bit of staff training in a turkish donner kebab place could work wonders. 1 star for...

Food is always 10/10. We go here all the time for our takeaway. Such a shame about the staff! Really let’s the place down. I would think twice about going here anymore after been treated so badly this evening. The man behind the counter was so incredibly rude to me and my friend!
