Had the fish and chips. Was very disapointed with the Food from the Word go. I paid 20 Euro for my dish and while it was adquate it was not what I was expecting. So here is an honest review. The presentation was bland boring small brown plate. the Portion was small the Fish while tasty had too much batter and was dripping with grease. The chips were the same as you would get in Mcdonalds, small french fries (surely you could serve hand made home cut chips whish are bigger and would fill your tummy more) which is what I was expecting. The tarture sauce was adeqate however it was warm did not feel fresh and was devoid off real flavour. The mushy peas were perfect so was the salad. However having said all this the presentation let it down from the word go. I would suggest large white plates home cut large fries and build up 2 pieces off fish and increase protion size. Staff and decor Top Marks I cannot fault them. But if I am going too pay 20 euro for Fish Tempura&Chips I expect better quality presentation and potion size. An...
Read moreStarted well & went downhill. Service was really good to start with, very friendly. It wasn’t too busy for 7pm Friday night but there were mistakes, ordered a glass of red wine that came as white, when asked the specials the lovely waitress went to check and came back and said roasted vegetables. Our starters were lovely, chowder had minced up fish & the 4 chicken wings were surprisingly big. Our main arrived less than 5 minutes after they cleared the plates, which I hate. The chicken burger was grand, dry, the made potato was cold & the fish & chips was standard. What really was disappointing was that while I wanted a sweet we waited almost 30 mins for our plates to be cleared. I made eye contact more than once & was ignored. In the end we just asked for the bill which was wrong, had a bottle of wine on it by mistake. All in all only ok. Lovely setting as always & like the idea of the food truck outside. Will definitely try that but nothing to write home about. Hopefully will improve as good...
Read moreI visited a few months back over the summer with some friends visiting from Dublin. We ordered our meals along with some chicken wings to take away. Unfortunately, the wings order had been missed, and by the time we finished eating, the staff let us know that the kitchen was about to close, so it wouldn’t be possible to prepare them. However, the owner, who was incredibly kind, stepped in and arranged for the chef to make them for us since it wasn’t our fault. To our surprise, he also didn’t charge us for the wings, which was such a thoughtful gesture.
The food was delicious, the service was excellent, and the owner’s kindness really stood out. We’ll definitely be visiting again thank you for the...
