Pasta Bella — Restaurant in County Westmeath

We made an order online and the food we received was very bad. The lasagne was particularly poor, the cheese on top was like a rubber and had to be spat out as we couldn’t eat it.

The banoffee pie, despite arriving in a separate bag , was like milk in the tray and didn’t resemble a cake at all so I’m guessing it wasn’t stored correctly in your restaurant.

The chicken dish was a generous portion.

Food arrived very quickly but we were left very disappointed. We realise we availed of a special offer but don’t feel this is an excuse for poor quality or standards. To be completely honest I’ve had better microwaveable lasagne from Dunnes, We tried out your restaurant for the first time because of the email offer with the intention of ordering more often should we like the food.

We emailed you but you never bothered to reply so as a last resort have been left with no choice to post a bad review

EDIT: In response to your reply below, we did indeed email you at the email address on your facebook page, I have checked and this is still the same email address. I have also added a picture of the sent email from my sent folder. So I don't accept that you didn't receive it and I am sure if you search your emails it will be sitting in your inbox

In relation to you saying we should have contacted Whatsfordinner I think this is a extremely weak response as they are basically an online ordering system and delivery driver service for your restaurant and have no responsibility for or baring on the food quality, they would have just passed on our feedback to you on our behalf, furthermore their confirmation states to contact the restaurant.

The window for any good will gesture has passed and from your contrived response it is clearly only being offered due to a complaint being raised publicly which we only resorted to because you didn't acknowledge it when...

Went here for my birthday. It's our second time going here. It's a beautiful little spot but parking outside can be problematic. However, we parked a short walk away. We were seated straight away. The menu has a small but good choice to suit all. I hear the pizza is great but haven't tried it yet.

I had the Caesar salad for starter. This was a huge portion with lots of chicken and bacon. Fantastic! My husband had the stuffed mushrooms which appeared as the largest balls of batter I've seen. Mushrooms stuffed with cheese and then deep fried in batter. My husband was in mushroom heaven. Next for mains I had the penne piazziola, with chicken & bacon in white sauce on penne pasta. It wasn't too rich. It's very tasty. Husband had the chicken Alfredo. Chicken & mushrooms in a white wine sauce with soft mash, toasties and fresh vegetables. Very good. Of course, as it was my birthday, we went for dessert. I had the chocolate fondant with ice cream and cream with chocolate sauce. Warm and gooey goodness. Husband had the banoffee pie with cream. He loved it.

Overall it was a fantastic meal. We don't like being disturbed too much by wait staff and this was a perfect balance here. Just a quick check in that all was well and that was us left to our conversation. Some people mightn't like this level of service but for us it was perfect.

I had a really bad experience on my birthday party. Not kids friendly second time I where there and the owner said kids making noise it's kids what they expect? Last time I had 13 people there was 6 kids we was upstairs and isolate from others clients the kids was playing and my husband was downstairs and don't listen any noise from kids and staffs keeping anointed was over 6 times because they wont the kids there. We ask for desert manu it never came to our table... After couple of times anointed us about kids noise we left the restaurant without desert after expend over 260 euro on that. The staffs very rude the menager don't know if that is the owner came uptais to be rude with our table. My friends and my family feel very desapoited and uncomfortable in that place I never go back again and never recommend to anybody. The food don't was good as well my pasta was hard to eat for the price it's very desapoited. If they don't like kids was better if put a sing in front we discriminate parents having kids much better nobody need expend money trying to having a good time and finish the day with people don't like their job. For all clients if you love your money don't waste your money in that place you can eat better for less...
