Fire & Stone Eatery — Restaurant in Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown

Unfortunately, this place was not very clean. I wanted to like it because it had a nice vibe, but couldn’t really enjoy it because of the dirt that was covering the restaurant. The AC was full of black dust and grime, the wall itself had clumps of dust stuck to it, the coffee machine had a thick layer of dust, the bathroom door was also gross and not cleaned in a really long time. Basically, it lacked a deep clean in the places that you don’t clean everyday. I was thinking if the customer facing things are so dirty, I don’t want to know how the kitchen might be. Then we got some tea and the kettle was disgusting…I was hoping it’s just discoloration, but no, I could clean it easiliy with my finger. Would not recommend and would not go back, unless they put more attention to hygiene.

Very good place, just didn't give 5 stars because it's lacking a bit on each one of them. Maybe because I was the only one outside after a few minutes they didn't payed much attention after we were , so when I finished my food and wanted to order more drink and maybe something sweet no-one even came to check on us, or even came to charge, we had to go inside to pay, which is not a problem for me but it's something to be considered in a restaurant for my point of view.

Food was good, apart from the eggs that were a bit overcooked, felt more like boiled, but that's because I'm very specific with eggs, specially poached, the yoke should be gooey and it wasn't (again, I'm specific with eggs), other than that it was all werry good!

Girls working there were lovely, the restaurant is clean, has a good atmosphere, and is good...

Another one of my favourite places, they are now doing an amazing clonakilty black pudding and ballymaloe sausage roll, it's so good, love the sweet treats they have the mini salted caramel donut with my coffee is my no.1. Best brunch spot ever, you definitely get value for money and top notch quality food. Can't review this place without mentioning the staff, everyone from the owner, manager, floor staff and chefs are so friendly and obliging nothing is too much hassle and I always feel welcomed no matter how busy they are. Very compliant with the current restrictions and the take away is every bit as good as the sit in, I was a bit worried at first but I have had 3 takeaway brunches in the last 6 months and all have been as good as if I have been there.
