Eddie Rocket’s is a solid choice if you’re craving classic American-style diner food. Here’s a breakdown of my review:

Burger

The burgers are juicy and flavorful, with a good balance of toppings. The buns are soft yet hold everything together well. The beef patties have a nice sear, and the seasoning is on point. If you like a bit of kick, their Smokehouse or Atomic burger is a good choice.

Wings

The wings are crispy on the outside and tender inside. They come in different flavors, but the buffalo wings stand out with a tangy, slightly spicy kick. The portion size is decent, though some might find them a bit on the smaller side.

Milkshake

Thick, creamy, and indulgent—just what you’d expect from a classic diner-style milkshake. The vanilla and chocolate flavors are rich, while the strawberry has a nice fruity touch. They blend them well, so they’re smooth without being too thick to drink.

Overall

Great for a casual, comfort-food experience. The retro diner vibe adds to the charm, and the service is generally friendly. Prices are reasonable for the quality, but it’s more about the experience than gourmet dining.

Would you go for the same order again, or try something...

Was in Eddie Rockets in Mullingar last week, showed covid pass... no problem in ye go, went to go into Eddie Rockets in Omni yesterday... 3 people in front of us walked away after talking to the girl at the door and we wondered why, got to the door ourselves and were asked for covid cert which we showed, then got asked for photo ID, which neither myself or my partner carry so we couldn't enter, is this what we've come to that you can't enter a glorified rip off chipper without showing photo ID, the amount of customers they would have lost over this ridiculousness, I didn't get 2 injections and a cert just to be refused entry to a place because I don't have have photo ID with me, this is a chipper and has no right or business asking for ID, I don't have to show ID anywhere else or to the guards even unless I have have committed a crime, so definitely won't be showing it to staff at Eddie Rockets who themselves probably aren't even vaccinated but serving food, Eddie Rockets = Empty Your Pockets... overpriced...

This is my first time visiting Eddie rockets in a while. The last time I was here was maybe a year ago.

My first impressions are pretty bad. The two things my party really wanted to order are no longer on the menu “due to covid”, according to the waiter. How difficult is it to make an Irish breakfast??

The other peculiar thing I noticed is that the food is taking ages to make. This is not unusual for Eddie Rocket’s, however it is unusual that 5 members of staff are loitering around the dining area talking to each other and not really doing anything.

Apart from this, I had to pay for the food immediately after ordering. Why?? Whyyy?? I had to pay for extra drinks and coffee on a separate transaction which makes zero sense.

I’ve also just realised that 2 burgers, 3 fries and chicken goujons and wings cost 70 euro.

Overall pretty disappointing, won’t...

Eddie Rockets in Omni Park, Dublin, is a classic diner experience with a retro vibe. The staff were genuinely friendly and welcoming, which definitely made a positive impression. However, that's unfortunately where the positives peaked for this particular visit. While the staff were lovely, the service itself was noticeably slow. We had a considerable wait for our food, even though the restaurant wasn't overly busy. When the food finally arrived, it was decent enough, but the portion sizes and overall quality didn't quite justify the price we paid. It felt a little overpriced for what we got, especially considering the slow service. Overall, Eddie Rockets in Omni Park has potential, and the friendly staff are a real asset. However, they need to address the slow service and perhaps re-evaluate their pricing to offer better value for money.
