Was visiting from Belfast with wife and 4 year old daughter. Was too tired to dine out after a busy day so decided to get a delivery to our hotel. Only really ordered from here as it was the closest to our Travelodge and would deliver. 1st time ordering. When the food arrived it was nice and warm. Wasn't what I expected compared to Belfast. Portions were tiny. And that's not exaggerating. Chicken tikka was overcooked and dry with only 3 pieces. Lamb palak was yummy. We had to order the rice separately as it wasn't included, but it was full of flavour really pleasant to eat, but again it came in a small cup, rather that a container we would get in Belfast, the pila rice was tasty though. The biriyan was nice. Was decent size but only came with a 2oz cup of raita, where at home anywhere would give you a side of vegetables curry. It was rather expensive. Worked out to be almost double to what I'd normally pay . But as we were visiting and hungry it did the job, only because I ordered an extra rice and nan, which I ate without the curry lol. Would I eat again, yes maybe inside the restaurant and not a delivery. Overall good flavours, but small portions and a...
Read moreWent here tonight for my birthday dinner, we would normally go to Kinara Pakistani restaurant in clontarf and wow the difference. Level of service is appalling, had a reservation for 8.15 wasn't seated until 8.35. Had to ask twice for a drink and separate 3 times for water. Didn't get plates for starter after asking twice. When our food came out my husband asked 3 times for salt and on the third time the waitor, as he walked away shouted and pointed its there on the table! Which it clearly wasn't, I told him this he came back put it on table and signed ppppffftt .... staff are not friendly in the slightest infact disgustingly rude, not just to us. I had korma which was very watery and tasteless, he had bhuna gosht which was very nice. Apart from that I would never return here again and wouldn't recommend it to anyone. Tables packed in and too close to everyone in the restaurant and people queueing right behind me waiting for tables leaning...
Read moreHad a meal here recently. We were there at about 17:30 we had to ask for the early bird menu. It wasn't handed to other guests either. We ended up ordering from the main menu. I was happy with my starter and main. I had chicken jalfrezi, the biryani was expensive for what was, a basic meal mainly consisting of rice. The food was tasty, the place was clean. It appeared that they were understaffed and it felt slightly stressed . Not the friendliest of atmospheres. If I return, there are a few mains that I'd like to try that might be Pakistan in origin, they sounded very interesting. They seem to have the menu split in half with the first half listing dishes I'm familiar with from Indian restaurants. The second half was less familiar to me. Unfortunately I played it safe by ordering something...
