Free entry! I walked all through the Phoenix Park to get here and on a sunny day it was a wonderful walk. If you don’t have time for long walks, there’s a car park here and a green space to move around too. Interesting exhibition on fascinating Irish-Greek-Japanese writer Patrick Lafcadio Hearn. The exhibition is not in Farmleigh house, but in the buildings beside it. Clean and spacious, and there’s a cafe nearby. Mind, everything empties around 4-4:30 as it’s managed by OPW so works in normal office hours. Hidden gem in Dublin. If you need a place outside the regular tourist route, but still full of beauty, history and wonder, this is the place!

Super exhibition space monitored by helpful, cheerful, informative staff. Well lit and we'll displayed exhibits. However the artist name and item information test on the labeling was too small to read. The text was on a transparent label stuck to the wall or exhibition surface which varied in colour and tone making some labels very difficult to read. The exhibition was inspiring and a credit to the designers and craft persons.

Small gallery with a work of Daniel O'Neill at the moment. Lovely little gem ❤️ New day new exhibition 👏👏👏

Very interesting exhibition of oil paintings, watercolours, sketches, and letters by William Orpen and members of his extended family. An excellent video presentation pulls it all together. A second room with superb black and white photos from the late 1890s to early 1999's by Goddard Orpen. Many interesting Irish and historically relevant topics. Well worth a visit. Well done, OPW, and the...
