Grain & Grill Bar and Restaurant — Restaurant in Galway

We had dinner 3 times in a row at the hotel restaurant because it was easier for us after long tourism days. Overall the food was very good. Portions were generous, with a special mention for the fish and chips which was hearty and delicious. The pizzas were fine, though nothing exceptional. Service was quick and the overall value for money quite fair.

However, a major downside was the service towards the end of the evening. We clearly felt that the staff were eager to close, which created an uncomfortable atmosphere. Our table started being cleared while some of us were still eating, and immediately after that the waitress asked to vive us the bill. This made it difficult to enjoy the moment or even consider ordering a dessert or coffee.

Passing by I stopped off for dinner. Lots of free parking. Sea bass, mash, vegetables. Generous portion. I loved the vegetables, perfectly cooked, lovely flavours. Fish was lovely too. Donut and coffee for desert. Extremely happy with the food and good service from friendly staff. Surroundings bright, comfortable and clean.
