The Hungry Lyons Dooradoyle — Restaurant in Limerick

On 03/07/24 the young lady at the till clearly seemed new and had some difficulty ringing up my order correctly at first, but she eventually got it right it seemed. Until I ended up waiting longer for my food than people who ordered after me, and my order wasn’t correct. She was very polite and professional and went to the cook, Lisa, and explained. Lisa spoke to her in a loud, aggressive and rude manner, which abruptly stopped when she saw me staring at her. Lisa made the burger I originally ordered, and sufficed to say it was absolutely sub-par, hence the down grade for the food. I’m giving 3 for service because Lisa’s unprofessional attitude almost completely overruled the young lady’s professional behaviour. Arrived around 2pm. Ordered a double cheeseburger meal. A piece of chicken and garlic dip. The food arrived quickly and was nice. I had taken two bites of the burger and a little of the chicken when nature called. On the table on the tray was over half a burger. 70% of the fries. 3/4 of the chicken and a full drink. When I returned my tray was gone. Everything had been taken. I enquired and was asked if I wasn't finished?? There ended the conversation as far as the staff were concerned. No replacement, no refund no issue. I decided that it would be an exercise in futility to even waste my life arguing over 11 euro and left. This really should be four and a half stars. I have to say that Superman's is good value, with a fairly comprehensive range. The breakfast is great value and the only problem here is that they do no keep doing it until 2 pm. The chicken burgers and chicken breast burgers are also very good. But the best item outside of the breakfast is there battered cod which is far nicer than you would get in 95% of places and always consistent.
