Shake Dog — Restaurant in Limerick

Who are the people reviewing this place? Are they blind, getting paid to do so? clearly have no taste buds, eye for presentation or actually know quality service or food.

Absolutely starving after a road trip! Decided to eat here (big mistake) Terrible service to begin with and it was only myself and two friends in the entire building. The decor of the place is cold and grim, no music nothing. There would be more of an upbeat ambiance in a graveyard then here!

Service was shocking. And the chef was diabolical. He was cooking for 3 people not 30, and the food came out like pedigree dog food. No thought, no love put in to the food, just slapped on a plate! But the dishes we got wouldn't even be served to a dog!

Horrible service! Disgusting food. I went up to talk to the manager about the food, he obviously couldn't handle the situation, and didn't know what to say or how to deal with the criticism .. like he seen the plates been dished up and allowed it be served? and I then looked in to the kitchen at the chef and he's handling raw chicken then putting his hands on RAW BEEF? Vile! That leads to cross contamination, which causes food poisoning! Like have some cop on. Cover the food and sauces.

Also my milkshake I ordered plain vanilla and it had SPECKS of what looked like dirt or ashes in it, turned out to be dirt specks from the milkshake container! I didn't pay. I just walked out. No anti Covid-19 measures in place. The use of shared items such as salt/pepper shakers a ketchup bottle and condenments not clean on tables. These items should be removed and replaced with single use satches. The menus are not single use or sanitized after each guest handles them, also I noticed when guests leave a table, it just gets wiped down but nothing is sanitized. No staff wearing any kind of PPE where the people cooking should be wearing a face shield or a mask, the till operator has no screen to protect her and no mask where distance cannot be maintained. The clearing trolley seemed to have dirty used items and clean items ready for use on it and being handled simultaneously by the same server. This diner has no social distance or limit on numbers being implemented. Over all a Careless, Lazy approach with no training or leadership being provided. Only thing going for it was the young girl on the till, very polite...

I went in for a bacon cheeseburger and chili cheese fries at the Dooradoyle location. While the fries were great and the meal deal was affordable, the burger was incredibly disappointing.

The bun is too thin and rips apart when you hold the burger, and the patty itself crumbles when you eat it. There is so much of their burger sauce (essentially flavoured mayo) on it that all the toppings go sliding around while the sauce oozes through your fingers, and drips through the paper the burger comes in and onto the tiny plate. They also use a kind of shredded lettuce, which I normally like, but on a burger it just means that most of it will fall off and into your lap ... which it did. A lot.

The flavour was alright, but the quality of the cheeseburger could use a lot of help. I may go back for one of their not-thick-at-all milkshakes, but they can...
