China Moon — Restaurant in South Dublin

• PLEASE READ* I ordered food from china moon waiting over a hour for food to come.A neighbor knocked in as food was left in the porch they seen a delivery driver throw the food in and leaving no knock on the door or nothing when I got the food opened it the tray was all damaged food was freezing I contacted china moon and they offered to send more food i refused and just asked for a refund as food wasn’t edible I threw it in the bin. 10 minutes later I then seen the delivery driver show up outside(the only driver they have in china moon drives a green yaris) My boyfriend then opened the door to him he asked for the food we explained the food is in the bin we have thrown it out as it was freezing cold. He then got extremely aggressive with us at the door screaming and shouting give me the f (cursing) food over and over we said no I’m not going into a bin and picking out the food. He continued to shout and tell me I didn’t pay (which I did threw the app but they gave me a refund when I called up) he wouldn’t leave the door just continued to shout abuse at us. so we got the bin bag and brought it out that the food was in to give him the food he came for. He then left. I then went down to China Moon Chinese and explained to the lady at the desk what has happened and that I wanted to speak to a manager she then told me the manger isn’t here she will call me tomorrow. I then got a call from the manager and explained everything to her she was extremely rude to me on the phone giggling and laughing is all she could do about this situation. Then said to me “what do you want me to do about it sack him” this is definitely not a way a ‘MANAGER’ is meant to speak to their customers. I am putting this out here so nobody else has to be treated and embarrassed the way I was humiliated at my front door. AVOID THIS RESTAURANT...

There's no doubt ("when" they get it right!) that the food from China Moon is very very nice, sometimes delicious ........ the problem is it's a restaurant, NOT a takeaway and they really really struggle with takeaway orders. They have zero interest in providing a real takeaway/delivery service ......... from simply exiting from Just Eat, Deliveroo etc. when overwhelmed (which is quite often and very frustrating for customers) to getting waiters (or whoever is available!) to deliver their takeaway orders ........ usually very very late and quite often with items missing. My advice ......... be a restaurant OR, if you want to provide a takeaway service, then invest properly into delivering takeaway food with dedicated delivery people/cooks etc. Lately I've been ordering from their competitors just because I don't want the hassle of ordering/waiting for/being disappointed with missing items etc. even though I prefer the food from China Moon. It's a shame really ......... 5 stars for food, zero stars for...

HORRIBLE first of all we waited an hour and 15 minutes for our food and when our starter came there was a cold stale chip in with the wonton and was full of grease when we asked the lady where her food was she told us she was busy with take aways after and hour and 15 minutes we said we would leave and then the lady said they would make it now (they hadn’t even started????) when it came out 5 minutes later it was cold and horrible like something you would cook yourself out of a freezer and dirty the prawn crackers had black on it and so did the chips as the curry was like water so we left without eating it and when we were leaving we were given a fan and mints and told they hope we come back ….. NEVERRRR ….....
