The Snackery — Restaurant in Tralee Municipal District

An absolute disgrace of a place, we ordered a panini, a toasted sandwich, a steak sambo and chicken goujons. We waited 40 minutes, and the toasted sandwich was barely toasted, the panini was perfect, the goujons were fine, a little crispy, and my steak sandwich was disgusting, grizzled, tough , couldn't see the steak under all the onions and mushrooms,. The meat was chopped up, and tasted like heated up old roast beef, rotten, the side salad was coated in an inedible dressing and the coleslaw was far from fresh..... Manky food served with equally very poor service, no one seemed to have a clue what they were doing, or a care. Please, if you own this place, pay for a chef, and staff training, a smile would be a good start, it seemed like we were an inconvenience, no warm Kerry hospitality that we have come to expect and love. To rub salt into the wound, we found a subway .2 minutes from there, after we left. €38 for this muck as well, I've been cooking in high pressure restaurants for over 30 years, and would apologise to a customer personally if a main course didn't hit the table in under 20 minutes, this took double the time, for very basic food.We didn't get any apology for the wait, and to be honest, it spoiled our whole day. Would NOT recommend this place. All we wanted was something simple to eat and they can't even cook that right. Goujons were rock hard with dry bit of chicken inside, chips were cold and as for the slop of coleslaw. Asked for coffee lòoked for a weak coffee cause I don't like d coffee out of some machines so instead of giving me a spoon of coffee in a cup she gave me half cup of coffee from machine and a tea pot of hot water 2 weaken it. I have never tasted something so vile tasted like it had been in d machine for a week. And as 4 d toilets I don't think I go dar. I won't have even hit 1 star only it wouldn't let me...
