Terrible experience there from an obnoxious little eastern European man who claimed to be the owner.
As they have all-day breakfast I ordered scrambled egg tea and toast at approx 2pm.
The dish arrived with eggs in a mould shape. I took one smell and attempted one bite and nearly barfed. The eggs had funny smell and scrambled eggs it certainly wasn't. It was clear it was completely tasteless microwaved eggs that smelled off. Turned my stomach. Brought this to the attention of the 'owner' but he smelled the eggs and defended his smelly eggs instead of accepting the customer's experience and trying to amend. I asked for the menu again to see if I could rescue this dining experience as he and his staff waited and glared at me but I knew I wasn't going to trust anything after microwaved 'off' eggs. And even as I was looking at menu again .. he brought out his plastic container of mushy eggs (yeuch)..to show me they were fresh. 🤢Pathetic. So when I decided to leave he got very smart asking how was my tea.. which I told him I didn't touch it ..to which he said I should have offered to pay. My god what a host!!! It was then that I informed him that his customer service was appalling..to which he replied he was in business 20 years..to which I replied that I was also in business for longer and that I would NEVER treat anyone like he was treating me because I didn't like his awful smelling microwaved clump of egg which he was passing off as fresh scrambled. I advised him to please reconsider his customer service approach and to take a leaf out of the way Irish business people do it ..ie.. with friendliness and professionalism.. to which he replied "Are you calling me a foreigner (in his best eastern European accent) !!!! This combative horrible little 4'9" 'owner' (which I doubt he is) should be far far out of sight and away from any dealings with the public. My goodness what an attitude to a nearly 60yr old woman who didn't like his fowl eggs.
Needless to say I will not darken the door of this...
Read moreI had the pleasure of visiting Christina's Café in Tralee recently, and it was an experience worth sharing. From the moment I stepped in, the warm and inviting atmosphere immediately set the tone for what turned out to be a delightful visit.
The café exudes charm with its cozy interior, tasteful decor, and a layout that balances comfort and privacy perfectly. The staff were incredibly welcoming, attentive, and genuinely enthusiastic about ensuring a great dining experience.
The menu offered an excellent variety of options, catering to both traditional and contemporary tastes. I opted for chocolate muffins, and it was simply outstanding. The flavors were perfectly balanced, the ingredients tasted fresh, and it was presented with care and creativity. It’s evident that the team at Christina's Café takes great pride in their food.
One aspect that truly stood out was the attention to detail, from the prompt service to the little personal touches in the café's ambiance. It’s clear that Christina's Café is not just about serving food but creating a memorable experience for their customers.
Overall, I highly recommend Christina's Café to anyone visiting Tralee. Whether you’re looking for a relaxed coffee break or a hearty meal, this café is a gem that ticks all the boxes. I can’t wait for...
Read moreThe blandest food I've ever been served. We travel all over Ireland. I'm the hubbie of Joanna who also left a review. I'm horrified by your attitude in response to criticism. We never praised you at all, we weren't even given chance to say anything. The level of customer service is appalling. After we sat down there was a disabled woman in a motorised wheelchair who needed some room to leave. Some of us customers got up and moved tables and chairs for her and waited patiently while another customer took a photo of her and her companion. Staff member just barged her way through - no consideration. Anybody thinking of visiting this place - read the responses from "Management" as this shows the attitude towards customers. I only leave 1 star as I'm not able to leave none. Just had somebody point out to me that there's a review on TripAdvisor (from a local) mentioning Gentian and his staff - and there's 5 star review here from a Gentian. Looks like you're giving yourself 5 stars and getting your mates to do...
