Oskars — Restaurant in Waterford

Just left oskars after going to watch a football match but left half way through. Food was great. Had my two babies with us and when one baby needed a nappy change there were no facilities to change the baby. When we asked where to change the baby we were told the baby change table was in the disabled toilet which is broken and locked and they did not have the keys to open it so they didn’t know where we could change the baby. Not only is this a huge issue not to have baby change facilities available the bigger concern here is the fact that if there was anyone in the bar with a disability that required a disabled toilet, there would have been no toilet facilities for them to use. Extremely disappointing and definitely unacceptable. Not the fault of the staff on duty not to have the keys but a serious oversight on management behalf. Have been going to oskars for years but a lack of facilities like this would definitely turn me...

You will NOT leave here hungry On entering you're in a restaurant cum bar. There two areas slightly away from the bar (one is called "The Library") if you want to dine away from the bar. We dined near the bar for some atmosphere (not that it's too noisy by any means). Service is friendly and prompt. I risked ordering garlic mushrooms fearing the usual 4 to 6 mushrooms miserably strewn on a lettuce leaf. Not here (see photo). They are generously presented piping hot in a bowl, LOTS of them. And delicious too. Had the seared chicken off the early bird menu which was nice. We would NOT have been able to eat dessert after this, we even struggled to finish the two courses and we are not food lightweights by...

There were 3 of us for carvery, it was 4 mins past 3 and in spite of carvery finnished at 3 with plenty of food left there,.we were brought menus, we didn't fancy anything on it and the prices alot higher.Only we had ordered 3 minerals we would have left.I said this to the very nice young man who came back to take our order and told him we didn't fancy anything on the menu and were leaving after drinks, so then he told us that we could order carvery after consulting with chef,.but to be honest the food wasn't up to scratch and most definitely not worth the price.We won't be back there...
