Excellent coffee in a cosy cafe, with a literally stripped back feel - the furniture is recycled 70s finest, and the layers of paint on the wall is based and polished to a fascinating patina of past colours. Lovely selection of small cakes, and their cortado is a great example of how to do a decent espresso based coffee - richly roasted but not bitter. The interior is quite narrow, and might pose problems for prams and wheelchairs. We brought our young kids in on a busy day, and the staff were very nice about that, but I'd recommend trying to visit at quieter times...
