Paparazzi Pizzeria — Restaurant in Douglas

My wife and I love coming here. It's a great venue for a post work dinner before heading off to the cinema, the theatre or similar. The staff are always welcoming and will often crack a joke with us.

The menu offers a good selection of traditional Italian dishes, and these are well prepared and in short order. If you are in Douglas and need a quick meal for good value with the minimum of fuss, this is the place for you.

The restaurant is also nicely laid out, the tables aren't too close together and there is a light and airy feel, which is impressive considering the restaurant is itself below ground level.

There are two ways I'd like to see the restaurant improve, the first is the wine list - it could do to grow and have a bit more diversity, this is Italian dining after all; and the second is the entrance, it's a long old trek to the actual restaurant from the street level, and whilst there has been some recent renovation to the previously abandoned first floor bar, it would be good to have some more signposting for the...

Quietly nestled in the hustle and bustle of the promenade, you really need to make a stop and enter the establishment to reveal the true size/magnitude of the restaurant. I was both startled and tricked initially by the entrance, only to lead through a door and down the stairs into a rather large and vibrantly laid out Italian style restaurant

Food and service was really top notch, and the kids (2 x 6 Yr olds) seemingly enjoyed the evening. We definately will be going back

Ps: they served fried calamari on the appetizer and main menu options to choose from, not something commonly available on the island from our experience thus...

We have eaten here, the food was good. We haven't wait very long for the food. The menus were normal, not too big, not too small. They were friendly as well. But there was one thing that wasn't OK. The prices for water were not mentioned on the card (or we haven't spotted it). We have drunk 2 bottles (0,2liter each) of water and when we have paid, we saw that they have calculated 0,5 liter water each. That wasn't correct. And i was torned when i saw the price in pounds.
