Bask in the glory of a time gone by. The pub has an atmosphere of faded glory and serves identikit pub grub (burgers, chicken schnitzel, fish and chips etc), which is mediocre. The home made lasagne is excellent, however, as was the ham and chips, which was generously portioned and the ham very tasty indeed. We had a happy meal as a family, and the staff very friendly. It was lovely to be greeted with a sincere "Good evening" by the bar staff. Little touches like that go a long way. Two minor criticisms, a broken glass, cracked down one side, which should never have been offered and a substitute for a meal item that should never have left the kitchen: I liked the sound of a vegetarian jackfruit burger, but what appeared on my plate with no explanation of why it had been substituted was an extra cheap deep fried vege burger. You might be familiar with the school dinner type ones, similar to a cheap fish cake, but with sweetcorn, broccoli and peas in it. 0/10 and passed in to the staff for feedback to the kitchen.

The Queens Hotel is a welcoming pub with a friendly atmosphere and plenty to enjoy. Inside you’ll find a pool table and darts, while both indoor and outdoor seating make it a comfortable spot year-round. The staff are nice and attentive, and with a DJ on Fridays, it’s a great place to enjoy the weekend.

Lovely little bar with nice food and service. The picture I uploaded shows desert with roast , but doesn't tell you that you need to order the 2 course at extra cost. Roast dinner was very good though.

Went for lunch with my young family, and my Sister's young family. Was situated in the 'family room', so as you would expect the kids were being kids but we made sure they weren't too noisy. Unfortunately one of the elderly locals (drinks Appletize and smokes) took exception to my 7yr old niece showing me her a few small tap steps on the wooden floor, which thanks to his outburst made my niece cry.

Food was nice enough, but I would not recommend any families going there for a meal until that man no longer attends the pub. He made for a very uncomfortable time for all. We won't be returning and I will be telling everyone I know...

Friendly local pub with good cuisine recommend the steak and ale pie which we all agreed was great. Servrs okells ales and being from somerset was pleased to find some still boxed ciders which were excellent although rather pricy at 4-5 pounds a pint. Seems locals use this pub a lot to eat which to me is a good sign as to the excelence of the food served. Only blip i encountered was being served only three small king prawns as a starter on first night very pricy at 5.50 per portion. Well worth a try for good food and ale if u are...
