The Majestic — Restaurant in Douglas

Me and my 2 kids (15 and 19) went to The Majestic restaurant, I must say our experience here was absolutely fantastic. The food was simply amazing; we opted for the Emerald buffet option and loved the variety and quality.

The cleanliness and tidiness of the place were notable. The place was very clean and as people left, the tables were cleared down and then cleaned down - but not in a "we are in a rush" kind of way like you see in some places. The staff were beyond excellent—they were attentive, friendly, and couldn't do enough for us. It felt like they genuinely cared about our experience, constantly checking on us with smiles.

The atmosphere was just perfect—busy enough to create a lively ambience without feeling overcrowded and noisy. It added to the overall enjoyment of our meal. And the best part, the prices were very reasonable considering the quality and quantity of food we enjoyed!

Needless to say, we'll definitely be returning to The Majestic. It's a gem of a find, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a delicious Chinese/Cantonese restaurant served with top-notch service in a welcoming atmosphere.

They do have a vegetarian option on the menu. Parking is on the promenade, and the place is friendly for wheelchair users.

The worst Chinese food I've ever had. We cancelled our main courses after the starters arrived - ribs so tough we couldn't cut them and inedible, unfilled dumplings with an acid vinegar dip. My wife ordered a glass of wine and whilst I'm not an expert, I wouldn't have guessed it was wine from the taste that I had. Nobody asked us why we cancelled our mains and our uneaten food was taken away without question or raised eyebrow. The restaurant was busy and everyone else there seemed happy chomping away under the high intensity LED lighting, but if you can't manage ribs or dumplings, I'm more certain that lots of people really don't get out much than I am that we were unlucky with what we ordered. We paid in full for what we were served and put it down to a lesson learned. We found another Chinese restaurant that evening and had a really nice meal...

As a person of Singaporean decent. I am very pleased with the quality service displayed here. However the sheer experience of the food has to bring my review down THE ABSOLUTELY ABHORRENT sauce poured all over my meal has caused me severe discomfort even after eating here I am very disappointed with this and hope to once again refind my passion for food which I have lost due to this experience. I believe the service here is top quality as the food was here instantly however the main attraction being the food was lacking. I unfortunately never got to experience thr ice cream selection but the mere option of this had me raising the review.
