The Front Porch — Restaurant in Douglas

This is a new business so our trip last year. We discovered it through untapped which is a beer rating app. There's only two venues on the island this and the two fellas in peel.

Naturally we had to try it and couldnt wait. We weren't disappointed, a screen showed us the menu of all the beers available. It was extensive list that we picked the best of. I enjoyed each one, with the country music playing in the background it made a lovely evening.

The staff were actually interested in talking about the beer. Which is unusual, most of the time they are disinterested. The two girls who were on the thursday 8th did a great job.

We did return but found it far too busy on the two occasions and sadly never got back in to finish the list. Cracking bar and well recommend for...

I visited the Front Porch while looking for somewhere to have some dinner. I had the Texan Dog (A hot dog sausage in a bun with cheese and chilli) with fries and a pint of ale.

I was delighted with the quality of the food and drink and the professionalism of the pub's staff.

I would not hesitate to visit again in the future, it was well worth visiting.

I called in for a post shopping day time drink. Decor was American music themed, which, when it's at its busiest, with lower lighting, I would think looks great.
