Saw this place while looking around Google Maps to find some places for food / chill café time while on holiday with my girlfriend. They love plants and so when I saw this place I knew it was perfect, while the food itself isn't something we personally eat, we went to stop by for some nice drinks in the morning — the food options were all lovely though, and I found the food served to the others inside to look very tempting, if I wasn't so picky I so would've eaten!
While I personally didn't interact much with the staff, they were incredibly friendly just by overhearing their conversations with customers and my girlfriend as she ordered our drinks — they had a 'lost soul' shirt on that day and the staff very enthusiastically talked to them about it, so I can without a doubt say that the staff here are very friendly and very chatty which contributes to a great, cosy environment.
The interior itself (main motivation for going to entertain my plant loving girlfriend) was just as gorgeous as the photos, and my girlfriend did intact thoroughly enjoy it and love the vibe. There were plenty of books to read and games to play, and even a small jar of conversation starters which were all very fun. The environment all together was just very cosy and relaxing and I would love to just sit in there all day chatting away with my girlfriend.
As for our drinks I got the Blueberry Punchy and the Himalayan White Mist tea which were both very delicious — the tea especially was a new flavour to me, and was a very comforting drink. The small flower and quote on the saucer was very endearing, and my girlfriend found it very amusing when one of my Oracle readings matched the quote I had received. As for my girlfriend she got the pineapple juice which she throughly enjoyed.
This was a very great place to stop by, and would definitely come again on our next visit to the IOM if we go again. Perhaps next time I'll...
Read moreWhere to start! After being away from the island for around 3-4 years I was very keen to try some new cafes and restaurants. I can safely say that VIBE set the bar incredibly high not only for the island but also worldwide.
Firstly the interior design is exceptional. The cafe is clean, green, cosy and minimalistic with a smart wooden finish. The cafe is well lit without being too bright or dim. It puts alot of other places out there to shame. It's clear the owner and staff have a passion for where they work. The staff are attentive and polite with reccomendations to boot. The cafe is well stocked with magazines and vegan snacks to take away. The vegan ethos of the place is very genuine and doesn't feel tacked on.
I went for the lunch deal of ½ soup of the day and ½ Gochuchang sandwich which came to £9. I also went with the reccomended chai latte.
The soup of the day was carrot, ginger and tahini. The soup was very creamy and warming with a hint of spice. The ingredients were fresh and filling.
The sandwich was also very filling with fresh crispy Noa bakehouse bread (arguably the best bread in the world) with the gochuchang vegan "meat" having a pleasant texture, again with a warming Korean spiciness paired with crunchy vegetables.
Finally the chai latte was really tasty and easily drunk. The latte art (whilst not needed) was a lovely touch and lives up to the mantra of the cafe. It was creamy and well balanced as some chais I've had have been too sweet or bitter.
I can wholeheartedly reccomend going to VIBE, everything is just right. The food was warming, filling and perfect for winter. Even if you're not vegan you're missing out on some great food. After living in Berlin for many years I'll be thinking of VIBE...
Read moreThe best place to eat on the island by miles… we’ve been twice so far and will undoubtedly be back later this week when they reopen before the end of our short trip: when we leave I think we’ll genuinely miss it! 😅
They offer truly beautiful dishes in a stunning setting and hosted by the most friendly and welcoming owner. They were even incredibly welcoming to our whippet Luna who had a great time snoozing behind our table. 🥰
Overall This place is everything a restaurant/ cafe should be with exquisite food full of flavor and thoughtfully put together. I genuinely had THE BEST roast of my life there today (and I’ve tried a lot). For an added bonus they try to stay local and sustainable with their produce, even sourcing environmentally responsible wines (including a delicious organic merlot with no sulphites!) 🙌
The only thing to note is that the place was packed on a Saturday night so I recommend booking. I also think it would be a perfect place to take vegan skeptics, as I can’t imagine anyone leaving unsatisfied regardless of their preferences. I know this review is stupidly long but this place is...
