As a vegan Israeli tourguide, I generally dread visiting Eilat, as there are almost no decent food options. However, on a recent holiday with my vegan family, we were very pleasantly surprised by the full page of vegan options on the Cafe Optimi menu. While the dishes are overpriced (as is everything else on the boardwalk in Eilat) and the serving sizes are average at best, the food was very tasty and the service was phenomenal! There's an abundance of seating outdoors, but too many customers were smoking, so we sat indoors which was comfortable but a bit cramped. The beyond burger was tiny, but the "cool" salad and the vegan breakfast were both excellent. I wouldn't recommend schlepping to Eilat just to eat here, but if you're in town anyway, this may be the best...
Read moreIt was my 4th time in Eilat, but 1st time as a vegan. I had visited Optimi earlier and liked this place, but it really is an oasis of vegan food! The menu has a dedicated page for vegan options. I ended up visiting multiple times during my one week vacation. The food was excellent every time, be it sandwhich, salad, vegan shawarma or pasta! Moreover, the service was also great each time! Good English spoken and friendly staff, so definitely recommended!
Will probably go for one last time for breakfast on the day of my departure! Good opening hours (9 a.m. to 11 p.m.), so even if not the first choice for the evening, a great plan B when looking for...

Service: good to very good; our waitress Shay was very attentive and present, polite and efficient. Unfortunately, not all members of the waiting crew seemed to act like her towards some clients here and there.
