Pastory Eilat — Restaurant in Eilat

My experience as an American-Israeli was pretty good except for the fact that my waiter tried to pretend he didn't hear me correctly. The food was great and atmosphere was nice despite the working staff. The story is" I had asked for a glass of Italian wine and he claimed I had asked for a Bottle of wine" I said the word "Cos Yine in Hebrew, not the word BakBook" there is a clear difference between the two words and I know how to speak both languages. He kept going with his ceremony and I felt something was weird. That's when I asked my wife to step in and she took care of the mistake. The second thing that I didn't appreciate was the tipping System. The waiter intentionally brought out the IPAD and gave me percentage options for 10% 15% 20% and made me choose the percentage of the tip in front of him. This is disrespectful in my eyes. Wow, a must visit in Eilat! We booked ahead, since they were busy the first day we came and there were no available tables. We sat inside and I would advise on getting a table inside, in the back room, since the porch seemed a bit crowded. Our waiter was a real pro - he knew everything about the dishes and could provide great advice on what we should get according to our preferences. The food was delicious! I really couldn’t fault it - we tried 3 first courses ( shrimp aglio olio, Spinach & ricotta rotolo ,Caprese) they were all something I would have again! Even Caprese which can be a bit boring in other places, was amazingly creative. Pasta for main. and our daughter had 2 courses from the kids menu, she loved it. And actually when I tried her pizza I was surprised that even kids pizza is so good! Everything was fresh and well presented. The service professional and quick. I will definitely come back....

English will follow; באנו בשביל להנות ולגלות שיש מסעדה טובה באילת, לצערנו אף אחד מהצוות לא טרח לסייע לנו. המנות סבירות, לא עילוי קולינרי. גם אם הפסטה מוכנה במקום מידת העשייה שלה לא מושלמת, אפשר היה לפרגן בפרופורציות המנות ביחס למחיר שגובים במסעדה. אפרופו מחיר, אילת היא עיר בלי מעמ, אז תמוה לגלות שמחירי המנות זהים אם לא יקרים בהרבה ממחירי המנות במרכז. חבל. וחווית השירות, חובבנית, לא נעימה ומתנשאת. אמנם לא הזמנו מקום אבל כשהמארחת הציעה לנו שולחן לצידה ביקשנו גם מזגן נייד, ותשובתה היתה: ״נוכל לחלוק כי אני לא עומדת פה בחום הזה בלי מזגן״. ספיצ׳לס. בכל זאת ניתנו 2 כוכבים על כך שניכר שהיו במסעדה אנשים שנהנו בה, ועל כך שבכל זאת הואילה המארחת להושיב אותנו על אף שגם אם כל המסעדה היתה מוזמנת לדבריה, בכל זאת היא היתה חצי ריקה.

Although we did not book a place, when the hostess offered us a table next to her, we also asked for a portable air conditioner, and her answer was: "We can share that I am not standing here in this heat without an air conditioner."
