Me and a couple of friends went out on a Friday evening to enjoy a weekend after an exhausting weeks of study and work that came between us and between enjoing christmas and new years atmosphare, in the beginning we had high hopes because the café we were going to has a very good reputation(Fairouz) between the students, however, when we arrived they asked us to get out and explained that “we only accept families and mixed people” but when we looked inside we saw a group of girls. We were really disappointed and as far as im concerned this is called discrimination. The first thing any foreign or jew would do is taking this case to the court, its our right but we hope that a massage would be enough to the cafés owners consider their bad deeds

Let me state it clearly. The food is good, sometimes very good and it's definitely one of the tastiest kanfes in Tel Aviv or maybe even Israel. But the service is simply horrible, I keep coming back there hoping this might be a single time mistake, but every time it's something new. This time we spent waiting over 40 minutes for knafe and even after asking the waiters a couple of times about it still didn't strive. The odd thing was that other tables which arrived AFTER we ordered the dish already got a dish of knafe. Finally we decided to just pay for the food we had and go. The waiter apologized and explained it as a mistake in the order due to a busy lunch. Hire some professional waiters and raise your service level - you are just hurting...

Coffee and Knafa are the most delicious ❤️ just for them you can come 😁☀️

Arabic coffee here is not just coffee. It is a deep and intense symphony of flavors, rich in spice notes, with bitterness and a slightly sweet aftertaste. It is served in traditional small cups, and each sip is imbued with oriental magic, leading to a world of soft pillows, incense and warm hospitality.

And now about Knaf. This is a sweet that can easily become the queen of any dessert table. Made with carefully selected ingredients, it is soft and tender, with a crispy golden crust and delicate sweet cheese inside. It is served warm, soaked in fragrant syrup, with the addition of fresh nuts. Now this is one of my favorite places, I recommend it...

A great cafe at the old city of Jaffa. A fab place for local delicacies. The staff is just lovely and friendly - it's a family owned place for almost a century now. Traditionally made black coffee is a must at Fairouz, even for non black coffee drinkers. I'm usually a cappuccino girl and was super impressed by the rich and unique flavour. We had our with cardamom. The coffee itself is made on on hot sea sand, rather than a flame, so the ground coffee beans don't burn! For food we had the traditionally made tabbouleh salad and Labneh cheese. Both are local dishes that are made exceptionally well here. and I know a few things about good Middle Eastern food :)

OMG... food is really good.. good shisha.. prices are affordable.. the location is very close to the old city (two minutes on foot) and the old sea port of jaffa.. looks more local and reflects more the traditional jaffa unlike other restaurant that are made for tourists.. historically this cafe is the very same cafe that the fishing men use to sit in the thirty's of the last century when they come back from the sea in the morning..
