I would call this place a local gem. I remember exactly that there was one little thing that my wife and I noticed for criticism, but I don’t remember it now, and against the background of the rest, this is literally nothing. A very cozy and beautiful place in a classic wooden interior and with a good view of the city from the window. Very pleasant and knowledgeable staff. We ordered Shrimps with squids, Ravioli in cheese sauce, white Riesling wine, Sliced octopus and European bass. And everything was very, VERY! tasty. I visited a lot of places and they provided a really great food, and this place is the same. I also looked around what was on the tables of others and I can say that everything I saw looked very appetizing, and some were interesting too(for example, a duck on a special heated rack). So I can recommend this place to anyone. Prices... what you see on my photos, for 4 persons, was about 520 NIS.

Forgot to take pics, but the food and the cocktails were "wow"!!! For starters we ordered Ceviche with bulgur-chopped herbs, and labneh yogurt - was very light, very fresh, great as an appetite starter, especially when the next dishes are heavier. Next we ordered Shrimp in olive oil and white wine, zucchini, mushrooms, tomatoes and chilli - which was simply perfect. I recommend ordering bread for the first dish and leaving some for the sauce for the second. WOW. While waiting for the Traditional Greek moussaka we, me and my partner, enjoyed the White Sangria!!! You MUST try it! Pears, citrus and cinnamon. Served on ice and topped with sparkling wine. We drank two of those for each! The Moussaka was a bit of a disappointment. It was good but not amazing. Something was missing.. I highly recommend the place. Great atmosphere too!

אני ומשפחתי (כ-7 נפשות) ביקרנו במסעדה ביום שבת שיצא על ערב חג השבועות. המסעדה יפהפיה מבפנים ומבחוץ, יש שם אווירה טובה וכיפית והמחירים ממוצעים. מה שכן ישבנו בתוך המסעדה והיא קטנה וצפופה, אך עדיין ממליצה לשבת שם כי נהנינו מן הנוף המרהיב לים! למזמינים בפנים - מומלץ לבקש שולחן ליד החלון כשעה לפני השקיעה על מנת להינות מהנוף לים. להלן המנות שהזמנו: לחם ומאזה: *לחם כפרי ומטבלים (18 שח) - חובה! הלחם קראנצ'י, טרי וטעים, שמגיע עם מטבלי שום וטחינה-חומוס. *חצילים שרופים ועגבניות (20 שח) - פחות מומלץ. טעמים חמוצים, זה מזכיר מקבובה אבל פחות טעים. *סקורדיליה (22 שח) - חובה! ממרח שקדים טעים וכיפי לאכילה עם הלחם. *עלי גפן על צזיקי (22 שח) - לא מומלץ.. אלו עלי גפן קנויים שאפו/טיגנו אותם וזה גרם לעלי גפן להיות צמיגיים, מרירים ובלתי ניתנים לאכילה. חבל על הכסף. אפשר לקנות בחצי מהמחיר עלי גפן בקופסת שימורים טעימים יותר. *איקרא לבנה ובצל סגול (22 שח) - מומלץ רק למי שאוהב ביצי דגים. טעם חזק, משפחתי אהבה. ראשונות: *גבינת מנורי צרובה על הפלנצ'ה (44 שח) - מומלץ. זו גבינה שאני לא רגילה לטעמים שלה והיא הייתה טעימה. *סביצ׳ה מוסר ים (46 שח) - פחות מומלץ. היה לי יחסית טעים אבל השמיר השתלט והמנה קטנה. *קרפצ'יו בקר (48 שח) - ממוצע. היה לי טעים ונהניתי מהמנה אך היא בסיסית ולא מחדשת דבר. ביניים: *ספאנקופיטה (48 שח) - פחות מומלץ. מאפה תרד וגבינות, יותר טעים במסעדות יווניות אחרות. עיקריות: *קבב טלה (72 שח) - ממוצע. הקבב היה פיקנטי ויחסית טעים, אך זו מנה מאוד בסיסית. *פילה דניס (104 שח) - פחות מומלץ. הדג היה טעים והמנה גדולה, אך בסיסי ובמחיר הזה ציפיתי ליותר. *סינטה סופלקי (74 שח) - לא מומלץ.. מנה שאינה בתפריט, הגיעה שרופה והייתה פחות טעימה. תוספות: *צ'יפס (18 שח) - מומלץ. כמו הצ'יפס של מקדונלדס פשוט שהוא טוגן פחות זמן, אך הוא טעים וכפול בגודל. המקום לא נגיש לנכים, העלייה לקומה העליונה היא במדרגות צרות וכדי להגיע לשירותים צריך לרדת בירידה תלולה, על כן הייתי ממליצה להתפנות לפני ההגעה. סך הכל נהנינו, השירות היה יחסית מהיר. מנות הפתיחה הרבה יותר טובות ממנות הביניים/עיקריות. הנוף לים מהמם! יצא לנו 842 שח ל-7 נפשות (לא כולל טיפ). נ.ב. המסעדה יושבת במרחק 2 דקות הליכה מגשר המשאלות המקסים, אם אתם סועדים שם כדאי לבקר.

Choose the place cause of the good ratings but it was really bad. The tzatziki was a tiny cup with barely covered ground and didn't taste like garlic or much else. We had a few lamb and veal kebab. I took fries instead of potatoes. Somehow they also left any lettuce and tomatoes that were on the other table. The wooden sticks of the kebab were still glowing but inside the meat was raw. Stuff wasn't any help at all and asked for service, which we obviously not had... All in all a waste of money and was not like a greek restaurant at all (nothing complimentary at all, and didn't have the taste). The name is the only Greek.

Excellent greek spot in Jaffa with beautiful view of the sea. I made a reservation online for 2 and just by chance, was seated beside the huge glass windows overlooking the Mediterranean just as the sun was setting. We definitely got really lucky!! The food was also fantastic. We got the greek salad, spanikopita, tzatziki with homemade olive bread, and moussaka. The servers and hosts were really nice and welcomed us early to our reservation and we sat down with no waiting. I would really recommend coming here. It was a nice change of food and vibe compared to the rest of Jaffa and it’s really top quality food. Loved it

We had a wonderful experience at Kalamata restaurant. The super friendly staff found a table for us and saved our evening after visiting Jerusalem. We thoroughly enjoyed the delicious lamb gyros and lamb and veal kebab. It was clear that the restaurant uses high-quality ingredients and takes great care in the preparation of their dishes. The staff went above and beyond to ensure our satisfaction and made us feel welcome. The restaurant's location is amazing, and we imagine that the view must be even better during the daytime. We appreciate Kalamata restaurant for providing us with such a memorable dining experience.
