Tishbi kosher restaurant — Restaurant in Zikhron Yaakov

What a wonderful surprise! We looked for a restaurant to have lunch and found Tishbi.

Food: We had pizza calzone and beetroot pasta. Bottle of Muscat white wine (very affordable, 35 nis!!) In desert, we had lemon pie with berries and raspberry sorbet. The food was surprisingly fresh, crearive and excellent. It was big dishes. Very recommended.

Service: Service was at the beginning a bit hard to caught from our outside table but was pretty fast and professional.

Design: The design is just what you will expect from local winery restaurant, authentic and simple.

Location: The location was just ideal, at the beginning or end (depends from where you come from) of the pedestrian main road.

Prices: Wine prices for the bottle was cheap for a restaurant, 35 nis!! Food prices was a bit expensive but ok for such as place.

The restaurant is really dirty and hasn't been cleaned in years. There is absolutely no way that the place would be approved by the health ministry. It is disgusting - you cannot even use the public toilets. We were there last week and their pizza oven wasn't working but they failed to tell us that until we were all seated. That put us in a room right by the kitchen and we had to listen to the bell being rung every few seconds to let waiters know the food was ready. The kitchen staff wipe wear no gloves and wipe their hands on their clothes as they work - I will never go back there again. Very...

The salad nicoise is not nicoise . There is no tuna, instead there is salmon over-salted and killed by marinade in minuscule quantities; the egg is overcooked, the yolk is blue. The mushroom pizza is inedible, the pieces of cheese are not even melted, impossible to chew, I gave them to the local cats (of which there are a lot). In terms of cooking this restaurant is a disaster. You are served at the same level as the cuisine. The wine and bread are decent, but it's an achievement of the winery and bakery, not of the restaurant. Shame on you, ladies and gentlemen. Definitely...
