Antipasto including the most amazing Frittata, pasta, granita, the marmalades - everything was fresh and delicious.
This place is run by a German couple - retired teachers who moved to Aidone a number of years ago and learned their impeccable cooking, baking, granita and marmalade making skills, plus how to run a cafe! It's an impressive accomplishment and we all win because they have created a wonderful, casual place with hospitality as nice as their food as named on the Piazzetta of the Museo. Dessert was a true treat, a yogurt cake with peaches, then fresh fruit and a scoop of ice cream, and a cookie paired with chocolate. Read moreWe first came here in 2019 before Covid. The owners are lovely, as is the homemade food. On both occasions we had a freshly-made pasta dish and an arancino with wild fennel and local cheese. Last time, this was wrapped in the local version of filo pastry, this time I think it was thin home-made pastry. Either way, it was delicious, especially the salad selection that came with it.
