This is a small hotel establishment with a restaurant. We only used the restaurant facilities. There was an unpromising entrance, through what seemed to be the family dining area with a TV and a little bar [and a pile of dirty plates on the table!], down a dimly-lit corridor, and then into an open-air courtyard, where the restaurant tables are located. We chose 'mixed cold garden vegetables' as antipasto; this was a complete disappoinment, as the vegetables consisted of no more than a tablespoon of chopped tomatoes, onions and (maybe) carrots, but then topped with a quartered bolied egg and a spoonful of tinned tuna. So, straight away we found the menu was misleading and that tinned produce formed part of the kitchen's inventory. A tagliatelle with veal ragu was tasty, a local grey rabbit was well cooked and full of flavour. The desserts were good and nicely presented. There is a comprehensive wine list with a lot of top end choices - too top heavy for a basic restaurant like this one, in my view.|| On asking for the bill we were directed back out to the family room and bar, where Madame kindly offered us a digestivo while the bill was prepared. I am sorry to say that the 'bill' was simply worked out on a calculator, and we were just presented with a total. [82 Euros for 2]. Personally, and I think this applies to most diners, I like to see an itemised bill. I have been to places before, where you are 'charmed' upon leaving with a little drink, and then just quoted a 'total price'. In my view this is not good restaurant practice.|| Overall, the food and service was acceptable and pleasant, but no more than standard for a town of Alba's size and...

I had an incredible dining experience at this restaurant! The quality of the food was outstanding—every dish was beautifully prepared and full of flavor. From the appetizers to the dessert, you can really tell that the ingredients were fresh and carefully selected, making each bite a true delight. The menu offers a wide variety of options, catering to different tastes, and everything we ordered exceeded our expectations.

One of the highlights of this restaurant is the excellent value for money. Considering the high quality of the food, the prices are very reasonable, making it a great choice for both casual dining and special occasions. You truly get what you pay for, and more!

The staff were incredibly kind and attentive throughout the entire evening. They went above and beyond to ensure we had a great experience, always checking in to make sure we were satisfied without being intrusive. Their professionalism and warm hospitality really enhanced the overall atmosphere.

As for the location, it's absolutely beautiful. The decor is elegant yet cozy, and the ambiance makes it a perfect spot for a relaxing meal, whether you're with friends, family, or on a date. I can't recommend this place enough and will definitely be...

We had a fantastic dinner here. We got the starter mix, the ragu tajarin, and the ravioli. I was worried it wouldn’t be enough food for two people, but by the time dessert rolled around, I was very full. The starters were delicious. The pasta dishes were perfect, served in special plates that kept the pasta hot even for an extremely slow eater like me. The tajarin may look simple but was truly outstanding. Such delicate, delicious noodles! The tiramisu was the best I’ve had in years of trips to Italy. Really perfect cream. There was an extensive wine list with very reasonably priced wines. Finally, the restaurant itself is very cosy. There are only 9 or 10 tables, and the brick arch decor was very special. I would definitely come back here.

This is a bed and breakfast with a restaurant attached. The famed Duomo D’alba was closed but I was not disappointed. Stayed and ate every meal here for the price of 1 meal at Duomo. Good service, excellent food and dessert. Great presentation and decoration. They also made outstanding recommendations for local wines. The menu is small with daily specials as they want to make food with fresh ingredients. The recipes are take from the grandmother. Paired with the local wines it is amazing.
