You must eat here!! We were in town on Palm Sunday and thought nothing would be open. This place was open and was better than anything we could have hoped for! We got an 1830 reservation at 1715. Every staff member was helpful, kind, and the perfect level of attentive. We were neither smothered, nor ignored. The food was phenomenal and they were incredibly knowledgeable about food allergies. I was astounded by the number of gluten free menu items and they weren’t just salad and pasta. I had beef cheeks with polenta and veggies, which was to die for! My husband had something with sausages, bread dumpling, and polenta, which he devoured. My picky daughter had the gnocchi with asparagus and shrimp and ate it up. We got a 1/2litre of red wine for an amazing price (gotta love Italy!) and a chestnut semifreddo that was heavenly. Please, avoid this place as much as possible! Went for a cosy dinner. The place itself is fine, the food is just not to the price, nor to general italian standards. You better go to a roadside cafe - will be much more tasty. We've had some ravioli with ricotta (this was actually best dish, though it is hard to spoil raviolli), fussili with a "duck", which tasted more like a cow liver (actually miserable), and then a "traditional" goulash with polenta: piices of meat are cold inside, polenta is pre-cooked a week ago. Il ristorante è sempre pieno e questo è un buon segno; senza prenotazione rischiate di non mangiare. Location incantevole! Abbiamo cenato in due.

Ho molto apprezzato il servizio ai tavoli: le cameriere sono state sempre gentili e sorridenti, attente, precise e disponibili. Brave!

L'impiattamento è risultato molto buono, abbondante, sempre ben curato, ricercato ed anche elegante. Antipasti: buono il pesce spada affumicato (nella media) con pere e guacamole; buona la porchetta fatta in casa (forse meglio affettarla senza la parte esterna che è risultata molto dura da masticare).

Primo: davvero molto buoni gli gnocchi ripieni con mela, conditi con speck croccante e burro fuso, complimenti.

Secondo: la tagliata. l'avevo chiesta a cottura media ma l'ho trovata praticamente cruda e immangiabile, tanto che ne ho lasciata metà nel piatto. C'era anche una pallina di un buon purè di patate (che però aveva dei "grumi"...) e delle verdure grigliate (al prezzo di 22 euro)

Ultimo, all'interno della sala era davvero molto caldo e non girava un filo d'aria: all'esterno la temperatura era almeno 10 gradi inferiore (anche considerato l'eccezionale ondata di calore).

Il conto è stato un po' alto (due antipasti, un primo, una tagliata, 1/4 di vino, acqua: 76€).

Personalmente sono uscito un po' deluso dalle aspettative che avevo. Probabilmente rispetto a qualche anno fa, qualcosa è cambiato (in cucina?) e forse sono stato sfortunato. Peccato per la tagliata...
