I Frati Rossi — Restaurant in Alzachèna/Arzachena

We experienced low hospitality from the moment me and my girlfriend entered the restaurant. Not sure about their motives, but it seems like the owner sort of ‘judges’ his customers based on their presence and/or origin.

We got a table in the very corner, while the restaurant was and kept pretty empty during our stay. The staff didn’t seem very interested and kept us waiting for too long between the courses. Although the food was quite good, we didn’t feel appreciated.

For us that was the moment to open the Google review section. Unfortunately, our feelings were confirmed by some other reviews in here.

The most illustrative part of the evening was the moment we left the restaurant. The owner was standing next to the front door, which was closed, but he didn’t pay any attention to us, let alone opening the door or saying good bye.

So if you are looking for a restaurant with a nice atmosphere and want to be served well, don’t go here. There is plenty of other restaurants in Porto Cervo that appreciate you as a customer and...

Outstanding food and service. One of the best meals of our entire stay in Sardinia.

The restaurant has a beautiful dining room with a view of the outside and you can see the sun setting.

Menu is seafood focused, with an excellent, comprehensive appetizer of prawns, bottarga, and octopus with potatoes. I also ordered the vongole pasta (spaghetti with clams) which was delicious -- clams were clean and pasta was perfectly cooked. The mixed grill platter of red shrimp, sardines, and octopus gave us a diverse overview of what the restaurant could cook, and each were perfectly cooked and very tasty. Finally, we got the salt-baked fish which was expertly carved table-side and served with a ratatouille style side, potatoes with string peas, and a slice of lemon.

Service is professional...

We were a party of three and we absolutely loved our dining experience . The restaurant came highly recommended for good food, rightly so but our favorite part of our experience was our server Janet. This gorgeous girl, with the most gorgeous and welcoming smile went up and beyond with attention to details and amazing service. Not for a second she took a smile of her face, she took her time and really invested herself in giving us the best recommendations, and had so much patience for our indecisiveness. Food came out with impeccable timing and we really had a 5 start experience. Everyone loved her recommendations and she brought so much good energy to the our night.
