L'Incrocio — Restaurant in Amantea

Although the food was good, the owner and staff were an absolute disaster. I ordered a meal and one drink – a 1-liter bottle of cola. The waiter brought a smaller one, so I pointed it out, and he exchanged it for the one I had ordered. But when it came time to pay, I discovered that the bill was too high. I went to the staff to ask them to correct the mistake, but no one spoke English. I tried to communicate using a translator on my phone, but the owner completely ignored it.

He said the cola had been ordered and opened (by the waiter), so I had to pay for it. I tried to explain that it wasn’t fair, but he didn’t listen to me at all. In the end, he rudely told me that since I was in Italy, I should speak Italian, not English. In my opinion, this was totally inappropriate, and the owner was very aggressive – he made rude gestures and spoke to us in a disrespectful way.

Ricordavo il posto in questione per varie cene anni fa e per una qualità della materia prima davvero ottima. Mi è dispiaciuto costatare che a mio avviso non siamo rimasti sulla stessa onda. Sono stato recentemente a pranzo: a parte il caldo infernale sia all'interno del ristorante sia nella veranda (nonostante ci fossero i ventilatori nessuno si é preposto ad attivarli), ordiniamo varie portate in 4 e si crea un po' di caos nella comanda per cui non abbiamo ricevuto le portate nell'ordine richiesto ma sopratutto e ripeto "purtroppo" la qualità non era nemmeno vagamente quella che ricordavo. Le cozze cucinate con cipolla e aglio in abbondanza risultavano non avere per nulla il sapore delle cozze, la pasta con le vongole idem, nella frittura di pesce addirittura c'erano pezzi di patatine fritte. Spero che si sia trattato solo di uno spiacevolissimo caso isolato perché ricordavo tutt'altro di questo locale e spero che questa recensione possa essere d'aiuto e non una semplice critica.
