For the English speaking people who expressed disappointment at having been told that the restaurant was fully booked, perhaps if they tried to understand the language of the land they were in they would have understood this restaurant does not take "walk-ins" and operates only by reservation. Also in Italy good restaurants don't kick you out as soon as one finishes their meal ( a-la-mcdonalds), therefore, and even if you saw empty tables, they would have been booked for a later hour and the proprietor wouldn't have wanted to take a risk double booking them. A piece of advice: Never rely on the fact your English language is the reigning language of the world, therefore everyone MUST oblige to understand it fully, and try to mingle when overseas....

Had the Prawn Risotto with mushroom, Divine, highly recommend, and the local fish with red, possibly tomatoe sauce very delicious. Filling portion sizes, regretfully I wish I could eat more ! We were lucky to have an Italian speaking friend, helped us order good wine and for delicious desert we had Mandarin Sorbet and Pistachio Cake. The anti pasta served looked amazing. Myself and my father are on vacation staying across the street from La Lampara and we approached the restaurant and were blatantly ignored. We entered a practically empty restaurant and were immediately told that they were FULL. There were 2 tables in there! It easily sat 100. We weren't even asked if we had a reservation so they were obviously not wanting out-of-towners there.
