Teste Matte — Restaurant in Anzio

I've been in a lot of burger joints in the States. In comparison, Teste Matte is right at the top. I would probably rate them an 8/10. Definitely high quality ingredients and everything is fresh. And of course a vast selection of different types of sandwiches. The french fries (patate fritte) were definitely on point. Hot and crispy. Here they treat the fries as a starter, which was fine for us. But if you are used to eating your fries with your burger, make sure you tell the wait staff to bring them both out at the same time. Not sure what the hours are, as they are not published (and I didn't notice a sign), but we showed up at around 19:30 (7:30 PM) on a Wednesday and they were just opening up. Il proprietario si è mostrato di una maleducazione unica, da non metterci piede neanche fosse l’ultimo locale di tutta Anzio. È venerdì sera e mia madre di 76 anni necessita urgentemente del bagno. Il proprietario lo nega con una arroganza fastidiosissima. Specifico che avrei preso una bottiglietta d’acqua e anche un caffè ma lui a muso duro ribadisce di no. Pub molto carino ed originale sia come disposizione dei tavoli che per l’arredamento. Si possono gustare panini di vari gusti. Birra alla spina ma anche in bottiglia. Ottima selezione di fritti.
