Ristorante St. Gregory Tentazione Bistrot — Restaurant in Arezzo

My husband and I visited here on the 10th of May. It is a half hour walk from the train station but probably only a five minute taxi drive. We like to walk. It was a pretty straight walk and easy to find. It is close to the Minerva hotel. It is a really special restaurant. The two waiters are really magical. They made us feel so welcome and are really passionate to deliver the exceptional food that the kitchen produces. We loved the names of the dishes and the creative use of ingredients. The Snow's Noise was the best pasta dish we have ever had. We had stuffed morel mushrooms that were incredible, the pasta dish, pigeon and a dessert. There were other complimentary dishes too. There was a pre desert on our tasting menu that had strawberries and Szechwan pepper in a custard that I am still dreaming about. Our table was really private and large but the table next to us were friendly and the whole restaurant had such a lovely atmosphere. If I lived close enough I would visit every week..The tasting menu was €60 around £50. You'd pay around three or four time this price in the UK for the same quality of food. DEVO DARE UNA STELLA PER FORZA MA MERITA 0. Il 3 dicembre io e la mia famiglia siamo venuti ad Arezzo per vedere i mercatini di Natale. Ho prenotato su The Fork (quel giorno c’era il 20% di sconto). Abbiamo prenotato per le 14. Purtroppo ho inserito male il numero di telefono su the Fork, e non mi è mai capitato che un ristorante mi chiamasse per accertarsi che venissi. Nella vita mi è capitato unicamente in occasioni speciali, essendo un gruppo molto numeroso magari. Il titolare del ristorante, mi ha chiamato la mattina per capire se sarei venuta per pranzo (come da prenotazione) e non ha trovato me, ha risposto ovviamente un’altra persona, non essendo il numero corretto. Su The Fork c’è inserita anche l’email oltre il numero di telefono, quindi avrebbe potuto contattarmi in un altro modo. Invece di mandarmi un’email per accertarsi della mia presenza ha deciso di cancellare la prenotazione. Io sono arrivata lì mezz’ora prima, ignara di tutto ciò che fosse successo. Il proprietario ci ha accolto con un falsissimo sorriso sulle labbra, consapevole sotto sotto di essersela giocata a suo piacimento. Due persone, clienti e quindi persone assolutamente non tenute a fare nulla, hanno proposto di stringersi in modo da avere comunque un tavolo. Per ben due volte il proprietario si è rifiutato di farci mangiare. Non andata in questo posto, sono dei cafoni e il proprietario non è minimamente una persona professionale. Aveva la possibilità di farci comunque sedere scusandosi del disagio. Invece non lo ha fatto, pretendeva di avere ragione quando ovviamente si io avevo colpa del numero sbagliato MA ARRIVO CON MEZZORA DI ANTICIPO PUNTO 1 e punto 2 TI RIFIUTI DI FARCI SEDERE QUANDO INVECE POTRESTI. Oltretutto erano le 13.30 e nessuno mangiava. Detto ciò è un buco quel posto, cosa che da The Fork neanche sembrava. Non posso giudicare la bontà del cibo, ma il modo cafone, presuntuoso e l’inesistente rispetto per il cliente è abbastanza per dire che vi auguro di non andarci.
