We went there without reservation. The owner told us there was only one table left. Afterwards other people came and the owners kept telling them there

was only one table left. Cuisine: starters: avocado/melon salad: good but very small; lentil soup: average; olive ascolana: acceptable but far from the

best in Ascoli; pasta: really too much cooked (in Italy!); tagliata de vitellonne: too much cooked (altought asked "rare" in italian). Wine (suggested

by the owner: average). Service: obviously too fast: like 5 minutes between courses, as if they were expecting the table to be freed asap (although the

place was not full). When paying I told the owner that her place was faster than a fast food (in italian). She just answered " yes, thank you"...

il suo posto era più veloce di un fast food (in italiano). Ha appena risposto...

I couldn't wait to return since we had a wonderful dinner here in September 2023. Then, the food and the presentation were both fabulous!! The staff was just ok - not friendly. However, dinner 3 nights ago was a different story. We ordered the "Typical Tour" w a fixed price of E35 because our previous dishes were not on the menu. The fried appetizers were awful-- did not appear to be freshly made and some were slimy. Perhaps the oil was not hot enough. The cured meats were good, but the remaining dishes were just ok. My friend enjoyed two glasses of white wine. Even after getting dessert menus, we could not get the server's attention to order . The restaurant was not crowded - one other table w 3 diners and another table w a solo diner. I have never written a negative review before, but I was so shocked and disappointed that this was to be my friend's long awaited and last dinner in Italy. I wonder why it was so different from my earlier...

Devo iniziare per correttezza dicendo che il cibo era buono, nulla di straordinario, ma buono, anche le materie prime. Ora invece devo dire che una persona non va al ristorante solo per il cibo ma un insieme di cose, una di queste è la simpatia e cordialità, perché fanno parte di una serata rilassante. Era il compleanno di mio marito, entrando c'erano due tavoli occupati, chiediamo se potevamo vederci al tavolo tondo, eravamo in tre e sarebbe stato più piacevole conversare. Il tavolo apparecchiato per cinque, la titolare, ci dice che è prenotato, capiamo subito che non è vero, ed in effetti e rimasto vuoto ,ma accettiamo un altro tavolo, che problema c'era in una serata di martedi dove non c'era nessuno , a togliere due coperti e lavare una tovaglia tonda, ?avrebbe accontentato un cliente. Mio marito chiede la degustazione, piatti semplici, da burro e alici, ad una carbonara, e un dattero con gorgonzola. Viene di nuovo la titolare dicendo che per questa degustazione tutto il tavolo lo doveva prendere. Chiedo se fossi andata mangiare da sola ad un tavolo se me lo avessero fatto, e lei mi risponde SI ...quindi...che differenza faceva? ...che noi dovevamo aspettare il commensale che aveva due portate in più, diciamo che non c'era problema, ma nulla da fare. Chiede se poteva avere il burro e alici NO. Ora non voglio discutere sulla politica aziendale di questo locale. So solo che usciamo spesso fuori a cena, portando anche spesso clienti ,ovviamente in un locale del genere, sarebbe impossibile portarli, perché non si farebbe certo una bella figura. Peccato, locale carino, cameriera riservata e gentile. Non perdetevela, e l'unica nota gentile in...
