Da Carlo Ristorante — Restaurant in Aversa

On a visit to Aversa from the UK, I decided to treat some local friends to a meal and had an extremely disappointing experience at this restaurant. The food was bland and tasteless, especially considering the outrageously high prices. However, what made the visit truly unbearable was the staff’s behavior. Their manner was excessively informal and intrusive, constantly making inappropriate jokes that made me and my companions uncomfortable. To add insult to injury, they outright refused to bring us a menu when requested, which is simply unacceptable. On top of all this, I was charged for an extra dish I never ordered. This level of unprofessionalism and careless billing is shocking. I will never set foot in this place again and strongly advise...

We had a large group meal and the place was nice and the staff were excellent and attentive. The catering was good but not great - I'm sure because of the number of us (60) and the fixed menu. I do hear great things about the food from small groups who have been here, so I may return to try the dishes on their standard menu.

I returned with a family group of 8 a few weeks later, and the food was fantastic, and we had a fabulous time. The review for food reflects the smaller group meal. Excellent starters of the sea and of the earth. Tasty pasta plates for everyone. Grilled tuna - delicious. Mixed desserts to finish. Highly recommended for this...

Pessima esperienza per due volte di seguito in questo ristorante. Partiamo dal presupposto che è un ristorante dove non esiste un menù: bisogna ordinare sulla base delle proposte elencate dal cameriere, invadente e sgradevole. Ciò vuol dire non poter scegliere liberamente cosa mangiare e, soprattutto, non poter sapere quanto andrai a spendere.

Due settimane fa, ospite per il mio compleanno, mi viene portato un cestino contenente pane raffermo. Faccio notare la cosa e viene sostituito. Dopo poco viene servito un altro cestino sempre con pane raffermo. A quel punto vado dal proprio e faccio presente la cosa, ricevendo le sue scuse e la spiegazione che mi è stato servito il pane utilizzato per le bruschette.

Torno due settimane dopo, ospite a pranzo di un amico straniero.

Innanzitutto, il solito cameriere comincia a fare battute, assolutamente fuori luogo, con un'altra collega sulla freschezza del pane, mentre si scambiano occhiate e risatine. Sempre lo stesso cameriere apre il vino e ci tiene a precisare, mentre assaggio, che sicuramente è buono perché lui del sapore di tappo se ne accorge subito. Per completare, sul conto troviamo addebitati 10 antipasti pur avendone presi solo 9. Solita richiesta di spiegazioni al proprietario il quale, ancora una volta, si scusa per l'accaduto. Applicare prezzi da ristorante per un prodotto da trattoria e un servizio da bettola può farti guadagnare sul breve termine, ma sulle lunghe allontana i clienti. Personalmente non ci...
