Go somewhere else, there are a lot of other restaurants around! Servizio pessimo e molto lento, cibo ok e porzioni non molto abbondanti.

Despite the restaurant (all outdoors) not being full, it took over 20min for the waiter to come take the order then we waited around 45min for our dishes to arrive and this was after we asked twice what was happening. The first time we chased our order the waiter went inside and never bothered coming back out to tell us expected timing or what was going on. The second time we asked for our order we were ready to cancel it and go away but it then arrived 5min later, frankly at this point we weren't even hungry anymore!!!

Portions were not very abundant either.

Note that even trying to get a waiter's attention is a challenge, even if, like in our case, it was already late and the restaurant (outdoors) was not full!!

When we asked for the bill, we had to ask for it twice and again took forever, then said we were paying with card nobody came with the machine. I then decided to go inside to pay and the owner told me the machine doesn't work outdoors - yet nobody told me to go inside to pay!!! Waiters don't use face mask, also, they have cards with QR codes for contactless order, but they don't use them because apparently they don't work, this is what the owner told me. Finally, when I asked for the business card of the restaurant they didn't even have those - apparently they were...

Utterly Disappointed – Never Again.

We went out hoping for a nice dinner and ended up with one of the worst food experiences I’ve had in a long time.

I ordered the chilly mussels – they were bland, soggy, and completely underwhelming. Zero flavor, zero spice, just a watery mess. But the real shock came with the tuna. For €18, I expected at least some taste. Instead, I got a dull, lifeless piece of fish that seemed to have skipped every step of seasoning or cooking technique. No salt, no flavor, no effort. Honestly, it felt like the kitchen had just given up.

It’s as if whoever was cooking forgot how to cook. No pride, no care, just plate after plate of disappointment.

Service was… okay. Nothing special, but at least they were polite. Unfortunately, decent service doesn’t save a dinner when the food is this bad.

Total waste of money. I don’t say this lightly, but...

The service was horrible. We had to wait 30min for our dishes to arrive (first course) and then another 15min with our empty plates in front of us. Then another 15min for our second courses to arrive. We had a bottle of wine which was opened in front of us and then dropped in the middle of the table, without even pouring it into the glasses. At the end, the manager (or owner) even told us to leave the table so that he could make space to the second shift of customers - like if it was our fault we had to wait almost an hour for all the courses to arrive 🤣 What a joke - horrible service. Although the food can be actually of good quality I'd avoid this restaurant...

Come si fa a spiegare il mare a chi lo guarda e vede solo acqua On the recommendation from our host (b&b San Pietro, don Salvatore ), we ventured on the cost of Avola in this seafood restaurant. It's partly a fish market, where you can buy fish, or you can seat down, and enjoy some delicious seafood dishes. There are some interesting dishes in the menu, but go for the dish of the day. They have, some nice Sicilian vine escorts :). The staff is top, only some little reception problem ;). Like Schwarzenegger said:" I'll be back"!

Amazing spot for a fresh fish meal near the beach on Avola! We got to go next door and pick out the exact fish that we wanted to eat which they then prepared perfectly! They are very gluten free friendly and even had gluten free bread which they brought me with my meal! The staff were very kind and had great suggestions if you need help deciding on what to order. Simple cooking that made the ingredients the stars of the show and was a great first meal in Sicily!
