Il Cetrangolo - Agriturismo del Mare — Restaurant in Bacoli

Thought I'd add one for the English speakers. Il Cetrangolo represents the quintessential Italian agritourismo, which means a restaurant which specializes in their own and local foodstuffs. The food is amazing; tasty and filling, and they bring you so much of it! It is a fixed price and fixed menu, if you go for lunch the meal and cost should be smaller but if you go for dinner be prepared to stuff yourself! And spend hours...nothing is fast, but as you sit and chat and sip local wine and look out over the amazing view of the Bay of Naples you will realize, "Who needs fast?"

Logistically it can be a bit of a challenge if you don't have any Italian, since at least when we lived in the neighborhood (6 years ago) the staff spoke little English. But they are friendly and outgoing, and if you try a few phrases of Italian they will try a few phrases of English, and you'll get by. Make sure you call for a reservation ("prenotazione") before you go; they were very often booked. And wear your walking shoes, since the parking lot is at the bottom of a steep drive to the restaurant. They have a shuttle but part of the fun is the climb up and down! Enjoy and...

Ieri 2 giugno ho festeggiato la comunione di mia figlia al Cetrangolo. Potrei scrivere un panegirico sulla qualità del cibo, sulla gentilezza di ogni singolo componente del team, sulla simpatia dello staff di animazione, sul panorama incredibile che si gode da lassù che sembra di essere in paradiso (visto che in un colpo d'occhio si possono vedere le meraviglie di Napoli, da Bacoli al Vesuvio). Potrei raccontare delle tante portate, tutte buonissime (e quando dico TUTTE intendo TUTTE) e impiattate con grandissimo gusto estetico, potrei raccontare dell'accoglienza e capacità di problem solving del team al nostro tavolo che ha saputo gestire, accontentandoci sempre, le nostre richieste, sempre cordiali, sempre disponibili. Potrei raccontare quanto si siano prodigati per farci godere appieno la festa occupandosi di tutto loro, compreso l'organizzazione dei tempi per le foto, la consegna delle bomboniere ecc. Ho accennato a tutto ma non scenderò nei dettagli, perché tanti altri lo hanno fatto prima di me lasciando recensioni più accurate di quella che potrei scrivere io. Lascio solo il mio piccolo ricordo, che sarà sempre legato al Cetrangolo: lo spirito di convivialità che anima questo posto, immerso nella natura incontaminata, è unico. Dei telefoni cellulari alla fine ce ne siamo dimenticati completamente, raccolti attorno al nostro tavolo, a parlare, a raccontarci, come non capitava da tempo, tanto da dimenticarci del tempo che passava. Stretti insieme in una magia bellissima, che questo luogo ci ha regalati. Difficile raccontarlo a parole, le emozioni le vivo ancora adesso che provo a descriverle.

Il mio Grazie va a tutto lo staff ai tavoli, davvero incredibili, degli eroi, va a Roberto, va all'animazione (le mie figlie che odiano l'animazione in generale, si sono divertite tantissimo, perché Demetrio e Angela hanno giocato insieme con loro, divertendosi con loro), va allo chef e al suo team, a tutti i collaboratori. Came for an anniversary lunch. Had a nice cute table for two inside with great view. There were two big bastissimo parties going on so very active and loud Sunday and I’m sure very common here. Food is pretty good, it was a fixed menu and we chose mare option. It came with crudo antipasto, fritto antipasto, primo pasta, secondo main course and a pastry dessert. Wine and drinks are not included. The main course secondo was a bit underwhelming, piece of fish, one shrimp and some roasted oven potatoes, I even forgot a photo.
