Godipopolo Pizza Bistrot — Restaurant in Barberino Tavarnelle

Pizzas were fantastic, crispy based and delicious toppings- everything we wanted! Service was friendly and very accommodating - we asked for dessert and after a brief powow with colleagues we were told that dessert could be provided. We were promptly presented with a muffin (presumably from the coop round the corner), cut in half and sandwiched around chocolate custard (origin unknown). The whole shebang was microwaved and surprisingly tasty and seemed to catch on as the young boy at the table next door was the lucky recipient of a muffin sarnie of his own not long...

Small and simple but the pizzas and service were amazing! We stumbled upon this after getting to our B&B late and it wound up being a special night. The woman (maybe one of the owners we think) was just the sweetest, and greeted us with the biggest smile. The other worker (maybe her husband?) was so busy and working so hard, but still very hospitable towards us. The prices were so reasonable. $34 euros total for 2 pizzas, one with prosciutto and mushroom and 4 Stagioni with artichokes, olives, and ham, plus 2 sodas and a nice size pour of red wine!...

Onestamente, dopo esserci stato ed aver letto le recensioni non capisco come la gente possa esprimersi in questo modo su questa "pizzeria". Onestamente il servizio mi è apparso molto incompetente e disorganizzato, il cameriere (molto simpatico) ci ha preso l'ordine e dopo aver comunicato gli antipasti se nè andato, abbiamo dovuto richiamarlo 2 volte per ordinare le pizze dato che ci stavano passando avanti tutti. Gli antipasti con i salumi erano senza dubbio provenienti da un banco frigo di un qualsiasi supermercato, ed inoltre non hanno servito neanche il pane con essi ma bensì una schiacciatina, che per i salumi era notevolmente poca. Tempi di attesa elevatissimi, sembra che servano 2 pizze alla volta e abbiamo visto che tavoli di 6 persone non riuscivano a mangiare tutti insieme la pizza. La pizza onestamente niente di che. L'impasto particolare, simile al pane arabo, la pizza era molto sottile non saziante e neanche buona per i miei gusti. Il locale è piccolissimo, si sta molto stretti e sembra una vecchia abitazione, vi lascio immaginare il frastuono che c'era. Detto questo spero che i titolari possano prendere questa recensione come costruttiva e da essa migliorare. Per concludere, al momento del pagamento, oltre a non aver fatto lo scontrino, non siamo riusciti a pagare con la carta... Il pos era presente ma non accettava la mie carte, sia contactless che inserendola dava transazione negata... e non ho neanche...
