Artemisia — Restaurant in Bari

To start with, we were met by the hostess, who helped us as our daughter wasn't feeling well. We appreciate that. We also appreciate the croissants for breakfast. That being said, we left with a somehow feeling of neglect. The rooms were really nothing and wasnt kept during our three-day stay. The breakfast must be described as a fast break. Nothing but a juice, coffee and a croissant. No cuttlery, no protein, no yoghurt nor fresh bread or anything to start the day of as a tourist. Also first served at 9.00 am, wich meant 3 hours of waiting since we were waked up at 6 because of the noisy trains driving by at three meters. The partys at night didnt help much on the sleeping. Loud music and persons drinking until 1 am. The shower didnt provide any water but a thin dripping. We can not recommend this place to anyone with kids, despite of the poolarea, which is also attended by locals, whos kids run, jump and scream (as kids does in water) but also ate and spitted in the pool, without any from staff or their parents interfering. We are extremely disappointed that no where were we informed of the noises that would disturb. Not a proper hotel: This place feels more like a party bar with a pool than a hotel, with no focus on guest comfort. Bedbugs in the room: Found bedbugs in the bedding, which is completely unacceptable. Poor communication: Staff barely communicates, no English, denies issues, and offers no apologies. They even suggested the bedbugs came with our luggage. Noisy environment: Loud music and parties from non-hotel guests continue until 1 a.m., disturbing guests. Lack of care for guests: Complete disregard for hotel guests’ needs, with staff escalating issues instead of resolving them calmly! Unprofessional staff behavior: A guest who spent money at the bar was called “crazy” when raising valid concerns, showing terrible customer service. No taxi assistance: Requested a taxi to the airport at night but got no response or confirmation, forcing us to book an Uber ourselves. No TV in rooms: Rooms lack basic amenities like a television. Poor breakfast: Breakfast is limited to just a croissant with jam, which is disappointing. Noisy train nearby: A loud train constantly passes by, making it hard to relax. Not worth the price: The overall experience does not justify the cost...

Riassunto per chi ha fretta: oltre al danno la beffa

Ho pranzato con amici in questo posto constatando sin dall’inizio un po’ di confusione per darci il tavolo a seguito della mia prenotazione. Tutto perdonabile… finché: Arriva la grigliata che avevo ordinato in cui al posto della zampina (prevista da menù) trovo un hamburger. Chiedo spiegazioni immediatamente e mi viene risposto dal cuoco che era stato “variato il piatto “ e che non fosse stato comunicato al personale di sala offrendomi la possibilità di cambiare il piatto con altro. Ho fatto presente che i commensali stessero già mangiando proponendo quindi di pagare il piatto la metà del prezzo da menù (so perfettamente che avrei potuto anche chiedere di non pagare il piatto piuttosto che darlo indietro ma ho voluto essere corretto e venire incontro all’errore soprattutto grazie alla cortesia della cameriera) Risultato: il responsabile mi ha offerto 3 euro di sconto per poi offrirci in un secondo momento il caffè. Purtroppo subito dopo abbiamo anche mandato indietro una torta caprese evidentemente bruciata in cambio di una bavarese che era completamente congrlata( la abbiamo lasciata sul tavolo) .

Dopo aver pagato e dopo un po’ di trambusto nel gestire i conti separati lo chef mi ha chiesto se fossi contento. Gli ho risposto che tre euro di sconto non mi sembrava un chissà quale gesto di scuse…. Risposta: “ti aspettavi che ti facessi pagare il piatto la metà?” Per eleganza ho salutato e sono andato via. Ritengo che pochi euro di sconto, vista la mia propensione a non sottolineare un qualsivoglia errore, che puo sempre capitare, sarebbero stati il minimo.. è paradossale ricevere una recensione negativa non tanto per il cibo e per gli errori quanto per la sfacciataggine del...
