Amazing food, wine, and service. I had the great luck of having met Claudio Viberti at a wine event in Seattle last summer. He was at Buon Padre and we tasted some Viberi wines: Chardonnay, Barbera d’Alba, Langhe Rosso, and of course Barolo. He arranged for an off-menu dinner sampling traditional Piemontese dishes with fresh white Alba truffles he had gotten earlier that day. Freshly made grissini; beef carpaccio with truffle; Zucca flan with cheese fondu; tajarin with butter, sage, and rosemary with truffle; beef cheeks braised in Barolo; cheese in a Camembert style but made with bufala (like a triple-cream). The wines: the Viberti Chardonnay Rinato 2018 I tasted earlier. Claudio selected his Barolo Riserva Bricco delle Viole 2013 for the red.

Read moreWe were two couples who started the evening with a wine tasting in Buon Padre’s historic wine cellar. Our hosts were incredibly knowledgeable, and the atmosphere quickly became warm and friendly. We continued with Buon Padre’s tasting menu and their recommended wine pairing — an exceptionally flavorful meal with excellent wines and wonderful hosts. The experience was elegant and stylish without feeling formal or stiff. Truly a special evening for all four of us. A heartfelt thank you to Buon Padre for giving us such a memorable holiday...

We should also mention the service - we had an excellent waiter and service was absolutely spot on, he really helped make the afternoon. So...
