My husband & I were conveniently picked up near where we stayed in Bellagio & driven to the best view we’d seen yet of Lake Como.. absolutely gorgeous!! The charming Chef Alessandro immediately came out and welcomed us and served us 2 glasses of Prosecco as we enjoyed the spectacular view of lake Como. We then went into the cool open air kitchen & began the fun hands-on experience of making gnocchi, tagliatelle & tiramisu. Alessandro was excellent in engaging the 2 of us in this private lesson every step & explaining it all! The food was delicious.. Wonderful evening we didn't want it to end but exactly at 9pm we were told our ride was waiting and we were driven back to our street in Bellagio having had an exceptional experience & even getting to take home our aprons & recipes to remember it by. Thanks for the fabulous evening! A forever memory of our stay in Bellagio.

Read moreI found that place by accident while going on a near by hike. The views are stunning. But I felt cheated big time! WARNING! There is a service fee you won't be warned in advance. I had a drink that was 9 Euros (slightly more expensive than in other places in Belaggio) AND had to pay 5 Euros on the top for the service. The lovely lady who works there said that unfortunately it was the policy of AltaVilla. Imagine!!! Even if you get a 3-4 Euros coffee you have to pay 5 Euros on the top of it. How crazy is that? And the worst part that no one tells you about it in advance. That place was the only unpleasant experience of my entire trip to the Lake Como. I felt totally scammed!!! In NO other places in Como service fee is included...
Read moreHas our last night of our honeymoon here. Absolutely delightful staff and good. Yes portions are small (can't believe some of the reviews). Do your research. A proper 4 course meal. They directed us towards a wine bottle to pair. We had to order another bottle as the first one was so delightful. We made reservations on their website. A local recommended coming here. Way more bang for your buck compared to down in Bellagio. Most people want to bring a car. We walked and it's up a bit of a mountain road at the end. But, doable for those like us if the...
